All Paws Rescue, Inc.

O Fallon
Missouri

info@allpawsrescue.info(636) 288-2999
All Paws Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit animal rescue organization based in St. Charles County, Missouri. Our mission is to rescue homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats, provide any necessary medical care or behavioral help they need, and then place them into loving permanent homes. All Paws is made up entirely of foster homes, which allows us to better evaluate each animal and... place them in homes that are well-suited to their needs and the needs of their future owners. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (dogs) or FIV/FeLV tested (cats), and microchipped before being placed for adoption. In addition to our adoption program, All Paws also offers multiple services to our community, including low-cost spay/neuter services and placement assistance for owners needing to re-home their pets.

Paws 4 You Rescue

Florida

Paws 4 You Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer, donor-supported animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida. Our top priority is to save animals from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. On average 100 animals are euthanized every day at this county shelter! Rescued animals vary from being sick, injured, homeless and surrendered to simply lost. We give these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, hope and lots of love. Our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. Some require major surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care - ranging from bordetella (kennel cough) and skin infections to cherry eye and heartworm treatments. All benefit physically and emotionally from a new loving family to call his or her own. Once Paws 4 You Rescue commits to helping an animal, we seek the best quality treatment available - taking no shortcuts. Our dogs stay at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities and foster homes until they find their forever homes. We spend time taking our new friends to different events across South Florida to find suitable homes. Our team is compassionate and passionate in reaching these goals. We are a group of professional people with various backgrounds, who together have decided to commit to saving as many of these animals as possible. Additionally, we believe in the value of education pertaining to the importance of spaying and neutering. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem in our county and by sterilizing your pet, you help to relieve the strain on Miami-Dade Animal Services and our community.

The Trinity Girls Awareness Program, or GAP Club, is an organization, which not only focuses on girls' issues, but also makes them aware of their community and hopefully makes them better students and citizens. As part of the community awareness, we have been the official sponsor of the Euless Animal Shelter for the past six years. It is our goal to help the shelter adopt pets and find forever homes or fosters so they will not be put down. We do this through networking, pet adoption sites, and raising funds to lower the cost of spaying/neutering, in addition to vaccinating the shelter pets for parvo and distemper. We have also helped with heartworm treatment and various other medical costs of animals in need. Our sponsors visit the shelter at least once a week to update pictures, shots, and check on the dogs and cats. We take the GAP girls twice a month so they can volunteer and understand why we sponsor pets and have fund-raises. The shelter's euthanasia rate has dropped dramatically since we have been working with them. We owe a lot of this to networking and the internet. I personally get a lot of satisfaction out of working with the shelter and the animals because the animals can't help themselves and they seem so genuinely grateful when you give them even just the littlest bit of attention and love. The best feeling is when you see a family or single person find that "perfect" pet that they have been looking for and the animal has found a wonderful forever home!

The Barking Lot

San Diego

info@thebarkinglot.net(619) 354-4825
The seed for The Barking Lot was planted a few years back when I took in my first foster dog, Patti Cake, in hopes of making a bigger impact by helping my favorite furry friends. Before I knew it, I was put on some rescue email list and received an email stating, "This dog to be put down on Tuesday at 3pm". I was utterly horrified and jumped into action figuring out how I could save her. Well, I did and I'm glad to report Raspberry (my nephew named her!) is living happily in Encinitas to this day! After getting her adopted, I thought, "That wasn't so tough." And so it goes...over 900 dogs adopted into loving home and 3 years later...we have The Barking Lot. As well as being wonderful companions, dogs are amazing teachers and we've learned so much from them...first and foremost that they all deserve a chance at a better life and their behavior will balance beautifully if their needs are meet and good leadership is applied. These pups will be the most grateful creatures you've encountered. We rescue our furry friends from area shelters, humane societies and Mexico as they are at risk of being euthanized and/or abandoned. We are a small organization with a handful of key volunteers and we are just getting started as a 501c3 non-profit, so we're looking for more volunteers to add to the fun and reward! We need both people and donations to help our furry friends, so we'd be grateful for either. Please contact Stacy
