Polk County Humane Society ensures a lifetime of safety, love and companionship for lost, abandoned and unwanted pets. We provide shelter and care in a safe, no-kill environment for pets awaiting a second chance. We adopt these pets to responsible, loving, and committed homes. Polk County Humane Society works to reduce the overpopulation, loss, abandonment and surrender of pets by promoting the spay and neuter of all pets, and educating the community on responsible and successful pet ownership.

Solano County Friends of Animals is a 501c3 rescue organization in Solano County, California. We are dedicated to reducing the number of homeless and abandoned pets by offering foster-to-adoption services, TNR for feral cats, and spay/neuter assistance for the community. We are a 100% volunteer organization and average 350 adoptions per year.

We have been doing this for over 8 years and just continue to evolve. Our main goal is to keep cats out of our shelters so they don’t get sick and die or be euthanized. We used to hold kitties till 3-4 months and spay/neuter and send to larger rescues for store adoptions. Many of the cats we get do not do well in the stores or are skittish when we get them. So we began looking for quality homes with experienced cat owners. It seems the more we do, the less the shelters around us do. They closed their doors to intakes back early in March when the virus hit and cats are being thrown everywhere to birth and nurse kittens in the cold outdoors or wherever they can try to find safety. It is heartbreaking. Since so many new fosters have stepped up, we decided now was our time to grow. But my records are a mess. I need desperate help.

Sheltering Hands, Inc. is a volunteer based, limited intake, live release rescue formed in 2007. Our mission is to improve the lives of cats through humane care, spay/neuter, adoptions, education and support services. A network of foster homes and residence facilities provide care until a home is found. Sheltering Hands also participates in education programs about responsible pet care, as well as conducting programs and assistance for spay/neuter and injured animal needs. A Welcome Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created to help the homeless, hurt and/or abandoned animals.

we are a non-profit organization with the goal to find loving homes for all of our pets. We do this because we love pets and people. We want to help pets find a good home and people to find a good pet. A loving relationship between a pet and it's owner is not only good for the pet but also the owner.

Adopt A Stray is a foster care program. We do not have a shelter and all the pets have lived in our homes. We guide the public to low cost sterilization to prevent the number one cause of death which is overpopulation. We are dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the lives we save.
