The purpose of our organization is to improve the lives of stray, abandoned and displaced cats and kittens in upstate SC. Through our in-home foster program, we will provide medical care and supplies, community TNR programs and on-site adoptions.

We are an all-volunteer, all-foster home based, not-for-profit, no kill animal rescue organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in the D/FW area. We provide temporary foster care and medical attention for homeless animals until permanent homes can be found.

At Beacon of Hope Animal Rescue, every animal is valued and deserves a loving, permanent home. With dedication, care, and tireless effort, we commit to doing everything in our power to ensure this becomes a reality. SOS tries to rescue & rehome abandoned kittens/cats throughout Texas due to over population from cats/kittens not being spayed/neutered. SOS works with other rescues to assist in placing in foster care until they can be adopted. SOS does participate in TNR when necessary but prefer to socialize and then place in a good home. SOS offers "comfort kitties" to those needing emotional support. Any applicant that currently has an ESA from a medical doctor is paired up w/a comfort kitty that matches their requirements. SOS takes great pride in offering this to our applicants.

MISSION Helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through fostering, adoption, education, spaying or neutering, and community collaboration. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization.

I started PAWS-OK in 2008 with a vet friend. Prior to that, I had volunteered at the local shelter and then with another rescue before i struck out on my own. Over 90% of our rescues come from private citizens but also, on occasion take medical cases from local shelters. Every cat who comes into our hands is S/N before adoption and offer free s/n & vacs to community cats with or pregnant with, kittens before being returned to their caretakers. Our organization is very small and all rescues are fostered in volunteer homes until they are ready to go to our Adoption Center. We check out all our potential adopters to verify living arrangements (rent, owns etc) and call their vets to confirm s/n status of existing pets and record of care (UTD on vaccs & seen annually for wellness exams). Our minimum age to adopt is 21. Our contract requires cats be indoor only pets and that the owners will not declaw them. Currently we have placed approx 1600 cats.
