Paws of Love, Inc. is a new, community-driven initiative that is working not only to restore faith in animal welfare in Lawrence County, but to provide a beacon of hope for abandoned and neglected animals. This group of volunteers is passionate about filling the void left in our community when we found ourselves without a local animal rescue group. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through shelter, adoption, transport, education, and advocacy. Would you like to help us? Please adopt! The building that we are using to shelter the animals left to us is in need of extensive repairs and renovations that can best be done in an empty building. As such, our biggest need is to find good, forever homes for the dogs in our care. If you have room in your heart and your home, adoptions are our most fervent wish right now. Sadly, until necessary building repairs can be made, we cannot accept any additional animals. We are only staffed by volunteers right now, with irregular hours, but if you would like to meet our precious dogs, please let us know, and we will make arrangements to meet you. Please give! We are a municipal animal shelter for the City of Las Vegas. We contract with our county to provide animal services. We are a small shelter and are constantly full and trying to rehome as many friendly, happy, adoptable dogs as we can. We have not had to euthanize for space but our numbers are making it difficult to keep on. Our staff are dedicated and caring.

Eugene Neal Animal Rescue is operated by volunteers and funded solely by donations and fund raisers. Our goal is to help all dogs and cats in Union Parish find safe and happy homes.

Arcadia Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to alleviating the suffering of abused and abandoned animals. At Arcadia, animals are valued and the human-animal bond is celebrated. Our vision is a modern-day “Arcadia” or Utopia for all animals. While we know this is an ambitious goal, it is one we will tirelessly strive for. No animal should be euthanized to save space, because it is unwanted, or because of the inconvenience of care.

We are a foster based rescue along the gulf coast who takes in the abandoned, abused, sick, stray, etc from shelters and individuals in the community. We vet the animals and get them healthy and then adopt out into an approved home through application, references and home visits.

Pet Refuge is a limited admission private nonprofit cat and dog shelter in South Bend, IN We are volunteer based and have a shelter and also a foster network for cats and dogs in our care. We also have a High Volume/High Quality Spay and Neuter clinic.

Our president started as the Volunteer Rescue Coordinator at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, Weatherford, Tx. We recently started Weatherford Wags, a 501c3 non profit rescue. We are a foster-home based rescue, focused on saving urgent dogs at local shelters. We also attempt to help strays and unwanted dogs in order to keep them out of shelters and to get them into loving homes. We do not have a facility. To be effective in saving a dog's life, we depend on the community to step up and offer their homes to temporarily foster a dog until it's adopted or goes on transport to be adopted elsewhere. So many dogs that are at risk at the shelters are great dogs, that just need a chance to prove it, and not be euthanized for space at the shelter. We find foster homes for the dogs, provide needed medical attention, help with food, and then market the dogs. We then screen and approve potential adopters, and provide help with integrating a new dog into their home. We do it for the love of dogs, knowing that just because a dog happens to be in the shelter, it is not a bad dog.

Home At Last Animal Haven is an animal rescue hoping to provide a second chance at life for friendless animals. HALAH is no kill shelter which originated when the founders saw all the "dumped" dogs in the rural area sitting on the side of the road waiting for their owners to return. They picked them up one by one and became the non profit organization which exits today. Home At Last is a rustic facility where dogs romp and rest together in huge yards. There are no tiny sterile cages where the animals live while hoping to be adopted before their time runs out. It is a Haven for animals to enjoy life in the country air, with birds overhead, earth beneath their paws, and playmates to keep them company, while considering the move to a personal, loving family home if one is offered.

ASAP is a 501(c)(3)  Shelterless Animal Rescue that strives to give immediate care to neglected and abused animal's while educating the public.

BACS is an open admission shelter that provides a safe haven for all homeless animals within Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville and Piedmont. We also provide animal control services to enforce laws and policies around animal care. We are a public service.
