We are a nonprofit and no kill rescue that works within our county to make it a no kill community. We take in dogs/puppies, cats/kittens and update their vetting including spay and neuters. We will fix the moms and dads of the litters we take so their won't be anymore accidental litters. We do not use vouchers, all of our animals are spayed and neutered before they are adopted out.

We are a rescue for retired police/military and all working breeds. I created this rescue to ensure all K9 heroes get the retirement they deserve. I work my dogs in K9 sports and my love for dogs/animals from a small child has always been my life.

Our name says it all, PIPs’ primary focus are medical and special needs dogs that are often overlooked. We call these dogs “PIP-abled” which means perfectly imperfect. A dog that may need a wheelchair, is missing limbs, deaf, blind or in need of some extra love and care – this is our niche. While we love our PIP-abled dogs; puppies, healthy adult dogs, and seniors have our hearts as well. We are inclusive of all dogs in need.

Pennington County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that promotes respect for animal life, works to prevent animal homelessness, abuse, and provides community education regarding the humane/ethical treatment of animals. It is the policy of the society to promote humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection; to seek to return lost animals to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners. Founded in November of 1997, Pennington County Humane Society is a non-profit organization supported entirely by individual contributions. We are dedicated to serving the animals and people in our community. We provide shelter, food and medical care for unwanted, abused and neglected animals. We strive to place pets into loving homes.

Our founder, Lisa Biel, started this rescue early 2019 working with Mexico rescue groups to rehome the far too many stray dogs. Prior to this group, she was transporting and fostering for many of San Diego groups and saw a need for a rescue group.

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. The Golden Belt Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare that provides housing and medical care to unwanted and stray animals. Our mission includes the placement of these animals by adoption or by networking with rescues.

Our mission is to ensure that homeless pets, pets that can no longer be cared for, as well as dogs that have no more time, come into our care and have a new outlook on life. We believe that EVERY dog has a chance at a long, healthy life full of love and snuggles. We believe in the 3 R's....RESCUE, REHABILITATE, RE-HOME. Every dog that comes into our care will be treated with compassion and respect. All of our rescue dogs are an extension of our family, and therefore are treated as such. There will be endless amounts of love, affection, and snuggles.

The Ocean County Health Department operates two animal facilities. The Ocean County Animal Facilities provide temporary housing for dogs and cats and maintain a 24-hour receiving service for stray animals that are brought in by Municipal Animal Control Officers. Features of the shelters include indoor/outdoor dog runs, cat rooms, isolation areas and surgical facilities. Cats and dogs up for adoption are all spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and receive a general health exam by the veterinarian.
