We are a no kill rescue group in southern california. Our primary focus is rescuing animals off of death row and local high kill shelters before they are to be euthanized. We then either board them or place them in foster homes so we can better access their personalities before placing them in loving homes. All our animals are seen by our vets, spayed/neutered, given approriate vaccines, some are microchipped, FELV/FIV tested if they are cats, heartworm tested for dogs and given flea treatment prior to adoption.

Jersey Shore Animal Center is committed to the rescue and care of unwanted, abused, abandoned, sick animals and to the adoption of these animals to responsible, loving homes. To that end, veterinary care is provided as needed, medication and inoculations are given and neutering/spaying is done prior to adoption unless the animal's health or age precludes this procedure. In addition, a compassionate staff tends to providing for each animal's physical and emotional needs, taking care to keep each one sheltered, clean, well-fed and socialized.

Zani's Furry Friends is an organization committed to rescuing companion animals from New York City's shelters where, unfortunately, they are at risk for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Each dog or cat (or bunny) rescued from a shelter opens a cage and gives an opportunity to another pet to await a chance for adoption or rescue, thereby potentially saving yet another life. Although we are not always sure of the pedigree or background of each animal, those we place are generally well socialized family pets who came to the shelter through no fault of their own. We rescue kittens, puppies and bunnies as well as adult animals who deserve another chance for a loving home. We do not have a shelter or boarding facility, but instead rely upon foster homes to shelter and nurture our furry friends until a loving forever home is found. Our dogs and cats are all up to date with vaccines, and spayed or neutered. Dogs are microchipped and heartworm negative and cats have tested negative for FIV (if old enough) and FeLV. We continually rescue new animals and will keep in mind specific requests from good homes. Zani's Furry Friends is a volunteer organization which receives no funding or sponsorship. We depend on the generosity of those who are willing to donate time, supplies and money--and we are always in need of additional foster homes for either dogs or cats so that we may help free more animals from a dark fate at the shelter. Unfortunately our city's shelters face a continual space problem, and dozens of healthy, adoptable animals lose the race of time daily. Beagles & Buddies rescues purebred and mixed Beagles, as well as other hounds and small dogs, from public shelters, dog owners and other rescues. Each dog receives a medical exam and any necessary medical and other treatment. All vaccinations are updated based on the history available for the dog. Beagles & Buddies spays or neuters all dogs to assist in the fight against pet overpopulation. We observe their temperament and personality and match them up with other kennel buddies they can play with. Beagles & Buddies finds safe, new homes for almost all of its dogs. In accordance with our no-kill policy, our rescue facility keeps any dog that is not adopted.

We are Arizona's largest shelter taking in over 150 homeless animals each day. We protect pets and people in Maricopa County.

Diane started doing fostering at the Sioux Falls Humane Society and then Pet Pals for Life. She had a passion for dachshunds. We noticed that the Sioux Falls area had a need for a dachshund rescue so her and I (Doug) started DDR. The response and need was much greater than we anticipated.
