We are trying to eliminate the suffering of cats in this state. Our primary objective is to TNR, but have found ourselves spending more time caring for cats that no longer have homes. So we are also a sanctuary. We have not adopted out even one cat since we started.

Kizzy's Place began in September of 2015 when a cat from the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter named "Skidz" caught the eye of our founders. This poor kitty had been hit by a car and had unknown injuries on top of suffering from an upper respiratory infection and was going to be euthanized if rescue didn't step up. With no rescues able to help him we decided to do it ourselves. With an offer to donate towards care, an offer to foster, and an offer to transport to the vet for much-needed medical care we were able to save this boy's life. He was renamed Kizzy and lived with founder and Director, Blake Martin until his unfortunate passing in the fall of 2019. He is the catalyst for everything we've done and we honor his legacy by how we save going forward. Since our humble beginnings, we've been able to save over 1,000 animals in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area since 2015. As a small foster-based rescue this number is staggering and something we are truly proud of. Our focus is the sick, scared, injured, and forgotten animals. This philosophy has led to some referring to us as "The Island of Misfit Cats," a nickname we proudly accept. Our goal is simple. Provide care for these forgotten animals and when they are ready find their happy ending. We are exclusively volunteer-run and donor funded and are so thankful for all of the people who have contributed towards our mission and to those who have opened their homes to some of our wonderful animals. The Stray Love Foundation began formally advocating for the local animal community in 2010 and, as a foster based animal rescue group has since placed over 1,400 animals in stable, safe and loving homes locally and throughout the country. The Stray Love Foundation has four primary missions: (1) To assist stray, injured and abandoned animals through vet care, fostering, and adoption; (2) TNR projects (trap, neuter, return) with the assistance of the Foley Police Department; (3) To facilitate and support the elderly and indigent with pet care, including vet costs, spay/neuter, and re-homing as necessary (also known as our Big Love Projects); and (4) To provide educational outreach programs to children and local groups to build awareness of the importance of companion animals as well as the importance of kind and compassionate treatment towards all animals. Our founder had always rescued on her own for decades but after moving to the Gulf Coast and the BP Oil spill occurred, the need for animal rescue increased exponentially. Being a business woman, our founder reached out to some of her peers to form a board and began formally operating as the Stray Love Foundation in April of 2010.

We are a rescue organization focused on connecting homeless cats to their forever home. We rescue cats from the local shelter and community. For thos cats that require medical attention or socialization we have foster homes where we place the cats until they are healthy or socialized to the point where they can be adopted. We also take healthy cats directly to our cat lounge where they are available for adoption. We do this because we do not want to see any cat linger in the shelter or on the streets when we can help them find a loving home.

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

ARF of MS is a no-kill, guaranty adoption organization. When we rescue, we make a commitment to always be there for the life of animal. Here is where we are different from other organizations; we believe all animals deserve a chance, not just the cute fluffy ones. Therefore, we have a building full of dogs and cats who are all worthy, loving and waiting patiently for someone to come along and look into the eyes and give them a chance. Many of our long term residents have found a home after years of waiting.

We are a 501c3 volunteer based group that is assisting those county shelters working towards saving the homeless animals in their shelters.

Rescue, Retrain, Redeem, and Re-home. Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc. (R4) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue group in Illinois. R4 is volunteer-run and foster-based primarily in Lake and Cook County IL. We save and adopt out dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds. Our rescue team consists of certified trainers that work with each and every animal in our care to help them find their best fit forever home. Mission : Our mission is to do what we can, for as many as we can and hopefully one day no longer be needed! Our Inspiration : Vega's New Leash on Life was founded because, and named after, a rescued Flat-Coat / Lab Retriever mix named Vega who came to be a part of our family when my boyfriend brought her with him to live with us. She fell quickly into the matriarchal role in our pack of pups at home. She was always by your side and happy to follow you around the house wagging her tail. She was one of the most loyal dogs I ever had the privilege to live with. She reminded me of my childhood dog, a black lab named Bianca. In August of 2012 I came home to work over lunch to find her being a bit lazy but wagging her tail nonetheless. In a few short but whirlwind hours she went from acting a bit ill to passing away at the vets office from an apparent unidentified tumor. At the age of 7 or 8 years old, she left us way too soon! After trying to settle into life without her in the pack of now 5 pups, we soon realized that her spot in the pack needed to be filled. There was no doubt that it needed to be filled by another rescue. After weeks of searching online I found a 4-5 month old puppy who appeared to be about the same breed and looked like an angel! We started the adoption process and within a few weeks were wrapped up in a world of rescues, shelters and transports. We made the 10+ hour drive to the shelter where she was being cared for in Bamberg, SC where we met an amazing man named Bob who devotes his time to helping the helpless. The shelter was a ram shackled place with about 40 dogs who had been abandoned or lost. Each and every one touched our hearts and we wished we could take them all home. While we were there to get her we helped to rescue two abandoned puppies from a culvert under the road. It was then that we knew that we had found our calling! Upon her arrival at her furever home… she was greeted by the other dogs with lots of sniffs and settled in quickly as the missing member of the pack. She fit like a glove! On our first walk that first night she led me by leash to our front yard and made a b-line to the tree where we had too recently buried our precious Vega. She walked slowly to her gravesite and bowed her head and “whisper-barked” and walked back toward the house. As if to say “it is okay, I will take care of them”! After spending an hour crying in disbelief, I knew she was exactly what we needed… and we were exactly what she needed! From that moment on we have been dedicated to do our best to not allow any other of man's best friends to go without all that they deserve! And here we are today.
