We are an all volunteer group who's mission is to reduce the numbers of animals euthanized in our area shelters through aggressive adoption and spay/neuter programs. We partner with area shelters, to concentrate on the cats and dogs that have run out of time or have special needs. We move them to a safe haven with private citizens, strive to provide them with any veterinary care they need, and then we find them loving homes. Since 2004, over 11,000 of these previously unwanted animals found their forever homes through our safety net. When one of ours gets adopted, we go and get another.

We are a rescue organization focused on connecting homeless cats to their forever home. We rescue cats from the local shelter and community. For thos cats that require medical attention or socialization we have foster homes where we place the cats until they are healthy or socialized to the point where they can be adopted. We also take healthy cats directly to our cat lounge where they are available for adoption. We do this because we do not want to see any cat linger in the shelter or on the streets when we can help them find a loving home.

Stray Haven is located in Aurora Indiana, situated in the tri-state area between Cincinnati Ohio, Indianapolis Indiana and Louisville KY. Our pet rescue has a unique two tier goal that focuses on saving stray animals through adoption, education, exposure and sharing of resources. Our first mission is to rescue and adopt out homeless pets to amazing homes, plain and simple. We have a foster based program that strives to heal the heart, soul and instill confidence in our abandoned babies. In addition to building up the emotional side of our fosters, we take care of their medical needs. Our pets will come with all age appropriate vetting, including spay neuter, microchip, rabies, vaccinations, health tests (heartworm test on dogs and FIV/FELV in cats), and preventative care such as wormer, flea/tick & heartworm (dogs only). Our pets come from our Independent Rescue Partners, which comprise our second mission. The second goal is much more complicated and revolves around supporting the front line troops that have eyes on the ground in rural areas of Kentucky. People imagine and share the pain when they hear of dogs and cats dying in an animal shelter, but what most people don't realize is just how many counties don't have access to an animal facility. While any loss is a sad one, having a shelter that feeds and shelters a pet in it's final days provides a bit of hope compared to the horrific end that can befall so many homeless babies. The pet overpopulation issue is well known and widespread but still there is no end in sight for many counties with minimal income, education and resources. Many counties in our Midwestern and Southern states don't have a county shelter, which means animals get no care or they have holding facilities that contract with other counties to take their homeless pets. The contracted county shelters are almost always overcrowded and taking in the additional animals means additional stresses which lead to frequent euthanasia. Rescues in Kentucky and surrounding states work tirelessly trying to help out the situation but to date it has been a losing battle. For some lucky dogs and cats in those counties with no shelter, they have front line troops, called Independent Rescuers that work tirelessly and on their own dime to shelter them. They start by literally saving the animal, whether hurt on the side of the road, abandoned on mountain tops and coal mines, starving in well meaning residents homes, or forgotten when someone had to relocate, regardless of the situation the Independent Rescuer finds and brings the unwanted pets into their home to provide food and temporary housing. Once the dog is safe from harm they work to facilitate rescue, foster and donations to help with emergency vetting as needed. Despite their best efforts, Independent Rescuers can't always secure rescue for the animals that they have in their care. Rescues try their best but at the end of the day there is only so much foster space available and they can't save them all. This conundrum quickly becomes a financial burden on the front line troops, leaving them to feed and vet those that they were unable to find rescue for. Our mission is to support these rescuers through Education, Exposure and the Sharing of Resources to keep their life saving passion alive! While we can take some of their animals, we will never have enough fosters to take them all, so instead we help to secure homes for as many of their babies as we can through exposure via adoption sites in our more populated location.

Sheltering Hands, Inc. is a volunteer based, limited intake, live release rescue formed in 2007. Our mission is to improve the lives of cats through humane care, spay/neuter, adoptions, education and support services. A network of foster homes and residence facilities provide care until a home is found. Sheltering Hands also participates in education programs about responsible pet care, as well as conducting programs and assistance for spay/neuter and injured animal needs. We are a new organization being established by experienced rescue people and individuals with broad relationships and a network with local animal shelters/impounds and vet clinics. Collectively in our Board's experience we have temperament tested, pulled from euthanasia lists from local shelters/impounds and place in appropriate and proper foster/adoptive homes well over 500 animals during our rescue careers. We are starting The Rescue Crew to focus primarily on the local, most urgent, animals in need of rescue commitment to avoid imminent euthanasia. The Rescue Crew is educational and charitable in that we instruct, train and raise awareness amongst the public and potential fosters/adopters about the importance of animal rescue and safety. This includes: 1). educating the public about general care, appropriate healthy nutrition, spay/neuter, normal temperament and routine behavior patterns of companion animals; and 2). provide educational materials and research-based information to the community and conducting public events, adoption clinics, information booths, and other public events in order to help end pet overpopulation and save companion animals' lives. We are charitable by the reducing the burden of government and prevent cruelty to animals by 1). providing rescue, shelter, food and veterinary care for companion animals in situations that are abusive, endangering, or neglectful; 2). to help end pet overpopulation by supporting spay/neuter efforts; and 3). to prevent animal homelessness by filing companion animals in need loving forever homes.

Piedmont Animal Rescue exists to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome as many lost and unwanted pets in the piedmont of North Carolina.

We are a 501 c3 rescue whose goal it is to spay and neuter as many animals as we can in our area and make this service accessible to people who may not have the resources. we do tnr, foster and have 3 facilities where we showcase our cats to adopt we feel that all cats have a right to good veterinary care and a home where they can be loved and cared for
