We are committed to rescue and find permanent homes for homeless cats. We were founded in 2008 and have been working very closely with our local shelter. Over the years we have rescued thousands of cats from that shelter and placed them in families as pets.

Cat Town

Cat Town was formed by long term volunteers of Oakland Animal Services, Oakland's municipal shelter. We started Cat Town to save the cats most likely to be euthanized because they can't handle the stress of the shelter or are considered "unadoptable" - cats who are shy, stressed, sick or older. We get them into foster homes where they can relax and show their true personalities and get them adopted from there.

The HSJC is located in Jefferson, Wisconsin and is a small, privately run non-profit shelter that has been in operation since 1922. We recently celebrated our 90th year of caring for dogs, cats, birds and other small animals in need. Each year, close to 1,000 pets find sanctuary at our shelter. We put forth great effort to reunite owners with lost pets and to find good new homes for those who need a second chance. We do not impose a time limit on how long a healthy, adoptable animal may stay with us as they wait to be adopted.

Feline Friends Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for the homeless cats who live on Stanford University property. It is comprised of Stanford staff, students, faculty and community volunteers.Unsocialized cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and released back into their Campus territory, where they are fed and monitored daily by Network volunteers. Every effort is made to find the owners of stray tame cats. Unclaimed tame strays and any kittens are boarded or fostered, until adoptive homes are found. No cats are euthanized, except as warranted by a veterinarian to relieve suffering.

Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue, Inc.

Wisconsin

purrfectmatch13@gmail.com(920) 234-5995
PFM has been formed by three people with over 30 years of rescue experience between them. We feel that there is a "hole" in current rescue/shelter efforts and we hope to be able to help fill that hole. One aim is to help people understand their animals by education of animal behaviors. Hopefully, that will reduce the number of animals being brought in to "shelters" in our area. We also intend to provide an online service where animals (who have been vetted by us) can be seen by potential adopters, whom we will vet the same way we do our own. Additionally, there are animals we come into contact with who need immediate rescuing. We are a foster-based organization (limited), and will intake the animal(s) as soon as a foster home has room. We follow strict protocol for vaccinations (distemper and rabies), testing (FeLV/FIV, heartworm, etc.), preventative (heartworm), spay/neuter, and microchips. All of the animals available for adoption through our foster homes is up to date on all vaccinations and tests. We spay/neuter our animals between 4 and 6 months if young, and as soon as we intake them if older. All of the members of PFM have previous fostering experience. We do this because, as our mission states, "Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue is dedicated to the sanctity of all living things and their inherent right to a happy, healthy, and humane life." We hope to accomplish this one animal and one forever home at a time.

Animalert Pet Adoption Inc.

P.O. Box 24042
Ontario
N6H 5C4
Animalert@rogers.com(519) 642-7732
Animalert was founded in London, Ontario, Canada in 1977 by four animal lovers who wanted to ensure that pets were adopted by caring guardians. We now have about 35 active members, plus our large network of volunteers, which helps us spread the word about our adoption program and raise funds to offset our operating expenses. We are able to place about 250 cats and dogs a year into responsible, loving homes. Not bad for a volunteer group, but we'd like to do better and with your help, we can! Animalert focuses on three main areas: Adoption, Education, and Spaying/Neutering.
