Our president started as the Volunteer Rescue Coordinator at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, Weatherford, Tx. We recently started Weatherford Wags, a 501c3 non profit rescue. We are a foster-home based rescue, focused on saving urgent dogs at local shelters. We also attempt to help strays and unwanted dogs in order to keep them out of shelters and to get them into loving homes. We do not have a facility. To be effective in saving a dog's life, we depend on the community to step up and offer their homes to temporarily foster a dog until it's adopted or goes on transport to be adopted elsewhere. So many dogs that are at risk at the shelters are great dogs, that just need a chance to prove it, and not be euthanized for space at the shelter. We find foster homes for the dogs, provide needed medical attention, help with food, and then market the dogs. We then screen and approve potential adopters, and provide help with integrating a new dog into their home. We do it for the love of dogs, knowing that just because a dog happens to be in the shelter, it is not a bad dog.

We are a dog rescue. Nancy Jimeno founded the rescue and was originally saving mostly pitbulls. Overtime we have grown and we save all kinds of breeds from all over! We get dogs as strays, owner surrenders, abandonment cases, hoarding cases, the euthanasia list at shelters across Southern California and so much more! We strive to help animals in need while also teaching our community how to be better

Our mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless." We save the toughest dogs to place; those with serious medical conditions, paralyzed dogs, deaf and blind dogs, severely emaciated dogs, dogs with neurological deficits & disease, dogs with injuries and orthopedic issues … the animals that nobody else wants; the dogs that would otherwise be euthanized.

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Through grassroots efforts, we envision a future in which all companion animals find loving homes where they are able to receive the care and respect they deserve. Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville is a foster based group of pet lovers that are committed to the welfare of pets and their humans. BTBPR members are dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We strive to find them forever homes and reduce euthanasia. BTBPR also assists Arizona’s retired public safety K-9’s with medical needs.

We want to give dogs a second chance at a happy life. We take dogs without a family, foster them and find them new, forever homes where we hope they will live happily for the rest of their lives.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in North Georgia. It was created in February 2009 by a group of people in the Atlanta area who wanted to do more to save the many adoptable dogs and cats who found themselves on death row in Georgia animal control facilities.
