Our mission is to rescue animals that have been left behind in apartment homes. We hope to prevent further abandonment by educating and providing resources for underprivileged communities in pet care.

We are a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue that houses companion animals on our grounds and in foster homes until we find them their forever homes. I have a masters in business administration and took over running the organization after our past Director passed away. I was a volunteer worker and animal care provider here for 2 years prior to joining the board and taking over running the organization.

Our purpose is to make a positive impact on the lives of animals by rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding them loving homes or providing them sanctuary. Through education and advocacy, we strive to foster responsible ownership and ensure the well-being of every animal, creating a compassionate world where all creatures are cherished. ACTIVITIES 1. Animal Rescue Operations: This involves actively rescuing animals from situations of neglect, abuse, abandonment, or natural disasters. 2. Rehabilitation Programs: Implementing programs to rehabilitate rescued animals physically, emotionally, and behaviorally so they can thrive and be ready for adoption. 3. Rehoming Services: Facilitating the adoption process to find suitable, loving homes for animals that have been rehabilitated. 4. Sanctuary Facilities: Providing a permanent home and care for animals that are unable to be rehomed due to age, health issues, or behavioral problems. 5. Promotion of Responsible Ownership: Educating the public about the responsibilities of pet ownership, including proper care, training, spaying/neutering, and the commitment involved.

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats. We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments. Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.

Paws of Love, Inc. is a new, community-driven initiative that is working not only to restore faith in animal welfare in Lawrence County, but to provide a beacon of hope for abandoned and neglected animals. This group of volunteers is passionate about filling the void left in our community when we found ourselves without a local animal rescue group. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through shelter, adoption, transport, education, and advocacy. Would you like to help us? Please adopt! The building that we are using to shelter the animals left to us is in need of extensive repairs and renovations that can best be done in an empty building. As such, our biggest need is to find good, forever homes for the dogs in our care. If you have room in your heart and your home, adoptions are our most fervent wish right now. Sadly, until necessary building repairs can be made, we cannot accept any additional animals. We are only staffed by volunteers right now, with irregular hours, but if you would like to meet our precious dogs, please let us know, and we will make arrangements to meet you. Please give! I was one of the very first to apply this concept of getting animals out of high kill shelters and finding them good homes. In those 15 years I placed over 16,000 animals. I left California in 2016 and moved to Washington. Since living here I noticed that there are not as many animals here for adoption and, knowing the situation in LA, I wanted to start rescuing again.
