Crossing Paths is a 501(c)3 organization, a network of foster homes, based in Locust Fork, AL. The Yardley,PA branch is the vehicle through which the face of the southern dog can be seen by potential adopters in the northern states. We post the adoptable dogs on websites in this area, facilitate the adoptions, and remain available to the adoptive families post adoption.

Mutts & Meows Animal Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Sugar Land (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of Pearland, Missouri City, and other municipalities in the Houston area, to help place dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes. Many of our dogs and cats live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fees (which vary based on which agency we're working with) include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, FEV/FELV tests for cats, and heartworm tests for dogs.

Doggie Harmony is a rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. We also support spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs in homes.

DFW Rescue Me is a rescue group whose primary goal is save dogs from the local city shelters from euthanasia and adopting them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as give them all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

Paws 4 You Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer, donor-supported animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida. Our top priority is to save animals from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. On average 100 animals are euthanized every day at this county shelter! Rescued animals vary from being sick, injured, homeless and surrendered to simply lost. We give these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, hope and lots of love. Our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. Some require major surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care - ranging from bordetella (kennel cough) and skin infections to cherry eye and heartworm treatments. All benefit physically and emotionally from a new loving family to call his or her own. Once Paws 4 You Rescue commits to helping an animal, we seek the best quality treatment available - taking no shortcuts. Our dogs stay at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities and foster homes until they find their forever homes. We spend time taking our new friends to different events across South Florida to find suitable homes. Our team is compassionate and passionate in reaching these goals. We are a group of professional people with various backgrounds, who together have decided to commit to saving as many of these animals as possible. Additionally, we believe in the value of education pertaining to the importance of spaying and neutering. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem in our county and by sterilizing your pet, you help to relieve the strain on Miami-Dade Animal Services and our community.

The seed for The Barking Lot was planted a few years back when I took in my first foster dog, Patti Cake, in hopes of making a bigger impact by helping my favorite furry friends. Before I knew it, I was put on some rescue email list and received an email stating, "This dog to be put down on Tuesday at 3pm". I was utterly horrified and jumped into action figuring out how I could save her. Well, I did and I'm glad to report Raspberry (my nephew named her!) is living happily in Encinitas to this day! After getting her adopted, I thought, "That wasn't so tough." And so it goes...over 900 dogs adopted into loving home and 3 years later...we have The Barking Lot. As well as being wonderful companions, dogs are amazing teachers and we've learned so much from them...first and foremost that they all deserve a chance at a better life and their behavior will balance beautifully if their needs are meet and good leadership is applied. These pups will be the most grateful creatures you've encountered. We rescue our furry friends from area shelters, humane societies and Mexico as they are at risk of being euthanized and/or abandoned. We are a small organization with a handful of key volunteers and we are just getting started as a 501c3 non-profit, so we're looking for more volunteers to add to the fun and reward! We are a small group, headed by a dog trainer and a pet groomer who want to help small breed dogs that find themselves without a home.
