We accomplish our mission by transferring cats and dogs to our facilities from public shelters in the Bay Area and beyond when they are in danger of being euthanized due to space or financial limitations. We have owned and operated our Redwood City shelter since 1993, and in 2019 we began operating the Palo Alto Animal Shelter in partnership with the City of Palo Alto.

Rehoming Services: Facilitating the adoption process to find suitable, loving homes for animals that have been rehabilitated. 4. Sanctuary Facilities: Providing a permanent home and care for animals that are unable to be rehomed due to age, health issues, or behavioral problems. 5. Promotion of Responsible Ownership: Educating the public about the responsibilities of pet ownership, including proper care, training, spaying/neutering, and the commitment involved.

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats. We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments. Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.
