We have been doing this for over 8 years and just continue to evolve. Our main goal is to keep cats out of our shelters so they don’t get sick and die or be euthanized. We used to hold kitties till 3-4 months and spay/neuter and send to larger rescues for store adoptions. Many of the cats we get do not do well in the stores or are skittish when we get them. So we began looking for quality homes with experienced cat owners. It seems the more we do, the less the shelters around us do. They closed their doors to intakes back early in March when the virus hit and cats are being thrown everywhere to birth and nurse kittens in the cold outdoors or wherever they can try to find safety. It is heartbreaking. Since so many new fosters have stepped up, we decided now was our time to grow. But my records are a mess. I need desperate help.

The success of our organization is rooted in our dedicated group of volunteers both local and abroad. We have partnered with like-minded individuals in countries including but not limited to the Middle East, Bahrain, India, Turkey, Mexico and Vietnam to help change the lives of some of the world’s most in-need animals. As we do not have a physical location, we depend on the support of the local community in the form of foster homes and potential adopters. According to the World Health Organization, there are more than 200 million stray dogs worldwide (as of 2017). The lives of these street dogs is particularly short and difficult in countries with limited resources dedicated to animal welfare. This is where we come in. Our partners abroad work tirelessly to take in stray dogs who are most in need of medical care. They (and you) are their best chance for survival. Generally, the process begins with the dogs being rescued off of the streets, restored to health and rehabilitated by these compassionate individuals. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is a society of dog loving volunteers who are committed to assisting in the rehoming of local dogs and rescuing dogs (often disabled) from high kill countries around the world. LALDR does not profit from any adoption fees. All donations to Loved at Last Dog Rescue are used to cover the cost of veterinary care, special equipment such as prosthetics and wheelchairs and to assist in the transportation of the dogs. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall be: a) To assist owners who are no longer able to care for their dog in re-homing the dog. b) To educate people about the importance of adopting, not buying, a dog. To educate people about street dogs and abused dogs and to provide a network of support to dog owners. c) To save dogs in need and at risk whenever possible, especially in situations where there is a potential for unnecessary euthanasia. d) To educate people about spaying and neutering, as well as the identification and registration, of domestic pets. We have a passion for preserving life and for protecting those who can't speak for themselves. To champion for those who are victimized by cruelty.

I am the founder and President of Rescue Tails Animal Welfare. I pull the dogs, get the vetted, adopted and run the show. I do it because I have a passion for animals and have grown up around rescue animals in need.

We are a small county humane society that was found in 1984. We are a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to providing shelter and rehoming stray and abandoned animals within Greene County, Indiana.

We save animals that are abandoned and from kill shelters, Foster them and work on finding them forever homes through adoption. We vet them and spay

The Stray Love Foundation began formally advocating for the local animal community in 2010 and, as a foster based animal rescue group has since placed over 1,400 animals in stable, safe and loving homes locally and throughout the country. The Stray Love Foundation has four primary missions: (1) To assist stray, injured and abandoned animals through vet care, fostering, and adoption; (2) TNR projects (trap, neuter, return) with the assistance of the Foley Police Department; (3) To facilitate and support the elderly and indigent with pet care, including vet costs, spay/neuter, and re-homing as necessary (also known as our Big Love Projects); and (4) To provide educational outreach programs to children and local groups to build awareness of the importance of companion animals as well as the importance of kind and compassionate treatment towards all animals. Our founder had always rescued on her own for decades but after moving to the Gulf Coast and the BP Oil spill occurred, the need for animal rescue increased exponentially. Being a business woman, our founder reached out to some of her peers to form a board and began formally operating as the Stray Love Foundation in April of 2010.

We promise any dog that comes into our care will never end up homeless during their lifetime. Beyond Rescue understands that adopting a dog is where the relationship starts, not where it ends. Our community of dog-loving people goes beyond rescuing dogs—we work to provide a safety net that helps to ensure that adoptive families have the ongoing support, education, and services they need to keep their dog happy and healthy and home. Forever. We started as a small group of friends who met inside the rescue community. We all bring different experiences, passions, and expertise. We believe our diversity is our strength and allows us to be an open-minded and accepting organization.

Stray Haven is located in Aurora Indiana, situated in the tri-state area between Cincinnati Ohio, Indianapolis Indiana and Louisville KY. Our pet rescue has a unique two tier goal that focuses on saving stray animals through adoption, education, exposure and sharing of resources. Our first mission is to rescue and adopt out homeless pets to amazing homes, plain and simple. We have a foster based program that strives to heal the heart, soul and instill confidence in our abandoned babies. In addition to building up the emotional side of our fosters, we take care of their medical needs. Our pets will come with all age appropriate vetting, including spay neuter, microchip, rabies, vaccinations, health tests (heartworm test on dogs and FIV/FELV in cats), and preventative care such as wormer, flea/tick & heartworm (dogs only). Our pets come from our Independent Rescue Partners, which comprise our second mission. The second goal is much more complicated and revolves around supporting the front line troops that have eyes on the ground in rural areas of Kentucky. People imagine and share the pain when they hear of dogs and cats dying in an animal shelter, but what most people don't realize is just how many counties don't have access to an animal facility. While any loss is a sad one, having a shelter that feeds and shelters a pet in it's final days provides a bit of hope compared to the horrific end that can befall so many homeless babies. The pet overpopulation issue is well known and widespread but still there is no end in sight for many counties with minimal income, education and resources. Many counties in our Midwestern and Southern states don't have a county shelter, which means animals get no care or they have holding facilities that contract with other counties to take their homeless pets. The contracted county shelters are almost always overcrowded and taking in the additional animals means additional stresses which lead to frequent euthanasia. Rescues in Kentucky and surrounding states work tirelessly trying to help out the situation but to date it has been a losing battle. For some lucky dogs and cats in those counties with no shelter, they have front line troops, called Independent Rescuers that work tirelessly and on their own dime to shelter them. They start by literally saving the animal, whether hurt on the side of the road, abandoned on mountain tops and coal mines, starving in well meaning residents homes, or forgotten when someone had to relocate, regardless of the situation the Independent Rescuer finds and brings the unwanted pets into their home to provide food and temporary housing. Once the dog is safe from harm they work to facilitate rescue, foster and donations to help with emergency vetting as needed. Despite their best efforts, Independent Rescuers can't always secure rescue for the animals that they have in their care. Rescues try their best but at the end of the day there is only so much foster space available and they can't save them all. This conundrum quickly becomes a financial burden on the front line troops, leaving them to feed and vet those that they were unable to find rescue for. Our mission is to support these rescuers through Education, Exposure and the Sharing of Resources to keep their life saving passion alive! While we can take some of their animals, we will never have enough fosters to take them all, so instead we help to secure homes for as many of their babies as we can through exposure via adoption sites in our more populated location.

Hearts for Rescue is a foster based rescue group who takes in animals without homes; we foster them, care for them, spay/neuter & find new homes through networking. We do this because there is a problem with unwanted animals in our areas that are without proper care and end up in a cycle of reproducing. We hope to make a positive impact on the number of unwanted animals by educating people about the proper care and about the importance of spaying and neutering.
