Central Arizona Animal Rescue serves the community by rescuing, caring for, rehabilitating and placing rescued animals with new owners that would otherwise be euthanized. We spay or neuter all animals that are adopted, ending the cycle of additional unwanted animals. We also promote yearly vaccinations of all animals which prevents disease and the possible destruction of sick animals.

Give a Dog a Home Rescue is a small home based animal rescue helping save as many German Shepherd and all breed Dogs as possible.

we are filling the 'missing link' for abandoned animals in our area. We are a small rural community surrounded by poverty-stricken towns, campgrounds, and reservations where many animals are not neutered/spayed, dumped, abandoned, and neglected. We rehab them, spay/neuter them, get veterinary care for them, socialize, and find forever homes for these great affectionate rescue pets.

Camp Papillon is a non-profit, no-kill 501c3 animal rescue group dedicated to giving all homeless animals a place to call home. All of our animals are currently housed in foster homes, we don't have an actual location for housing the animals we rescue. These foster families are made up of dedicated volunteers who open their homes to dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that are in need of a place to live until they can be adopted. This allows the fosters to evaluate the animals and determine how they interact with people, other dogs, cats, etc. so we can place them in their forever homes. In some cases, the animals are ready for adoption upon entering our rescue. Others need some training or have behavioral issues that need to be addressed before we put them up for adoption. Many shelters would have euthanized dogs that they deem unadoptable, but not us. The foster situation is the best way to be sure these animals are well socialized with people and, most times, with other animals. Camp Papillon covers ALL the costs associated with fostering our animals from vet care to food, toys, treats, etc. Our fosters just supply the love and affection to the animals they take in.

The PAHS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and providing a temporary home for abandoned and abused animals. Our motto is Protect--Adopt--Help--Serve.

Ozark Homeward Bound is a non-profit organization created in June 2010 to address the abandoned and neglected dogs and cats in north central Arkansas. We do not have a shelter, but depend on foster volunteers to care for our dogs and cats while they await adoption. OHB will spay/neuter each cat or dog, give them all age-appropriate vaccinations and treat them for parasites before they leave for their fur-ever homes. We do require an adoption application with references to insure the best homes for our fur kids. Close attention is given to matching the needs of a pet to the adoptive family. Not all who apply are approved. Donations are always needed, and always appreciated. We also accept Honorarium and Memorial contributions.

The Amarillo SPCA is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. We operate solely on donations and fundraisers. We operate a shelter for dogs and cats and have approximately 140 animals, most of which are housed at the shelter. A few live temporarily in foster homes. One of our main concerns as an organization is pet over population. It is important that the public be educated about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. It is also our goal to make sure every animal that is adopted from the SPCA is sterilized before going to a new home. We receive calls daily from people who request help with their animals--either needing to give them up or asking for help with food and medical needs. We help whenever we can. Our kennels are full most of the time but we will try our hardest to accommodate any animal that is homeless or needing a home. Because of our own expenses, we rarely are able to help the public with pet care costs. We do provide spay and neuter vouchers for a significantly reduced fee. We also provide microchipping services to the general public for a reduced fee. We have grown to the extent that volunteers alone cannot provide necessary hours for operating the kennels. We have a shelter manager and part time employees along with volunteers who work hard maintaining the shelter. Many animals we bring into the shelter need immediate medical care, and all animals that come to us receive their shots, a microchip and sterilization before being adopted into their new homes. Frequently these expenses are far more than the adoption fee of $100. It is our duty to provide the best medical treatment possible regardless of cost for our animals--and therefore our vet bills are always very large. We have created this website to provide accessible information concerning all of the animal related organizations and events that are occuring in the Texas Panhandle as well as a resource base for those seeking advice or care for their pets. Therefore, we invite anyone who is affiliated with a particular animal welfare organization, specialized pet-owner group (such as pet therapy or obedience training,) or any business that is in the service of animals (veterinarians, groomers, pet sitters, etc.) to contact us so that we may tell the public about your organization or business. We do, however, respectfully decline to list any breeders or to promote breeding services as it is not in alignment with our mission of curbing the pet overpopulation crisis. We are a group of woman in the entertainment industry that rescue dogs in our spare time. We rescue them from shelters, streets and abusive situations because we love them!

Ozark Haven is a 5013c recognized, Limited Liability Corporation, MO State Lisc. Animal Rescue. We have our paws in many projects for Southern Missouri Dogs. In addition to our Foster Care Program for homeless dogs to seek adoption into forever homes, our sister site www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO207.html is our Safety Forum. This site features dogs in our communities. These dogs are not in foster care but remain in their original situation. Ozark Haven is part of a huge network and often the dogs in the Safety Forum are seen by other rescues and find safety. In our continued work with CARE, a Not for Profit Homeless Dog Transport we can offer SO MO dogs a chance to reach populations where they arent as common and have better adoption potential. Dogs that live rurally in the forest communities of Southern Missouri dont have municipalities or other agencies to help them. They often burden the hillsides and face horrible violent fates. Our Safety Forum provides those dogs fair and equal web exposure to find safe screened options for life!! Our Dominicks Honor program addresses the deadly practice of tethering. People will tie anything around a dogs neck. Our local rural administrations are not concerned with the deadly act of tethering. As a charity we cannot lobby but we sure can offer light weight harnesses and cables to improve the life of dogs that are tethered. While sharing the gift of painless tethering, we always offer our Safety Forum services in hopes of moving these dogs to a home with appropriate care practices. Our Littering the Ozarks Program has been a successful one, we plan to build on this in the New Year. We will offer screened placement of unwanted litters in the community if the owners of the mother will consent to allow us to spay her. This program has been well received in our communities and is a targeted program for growth in 08. And finally, our Feral Dog Project MO. Feral dogs are a symptom of "dumping". Abandonment plaques our communities. With limited options for unwanted pets, dumping on a country road is common place. The survivors of these dumpings often find disease, starvation, conficts with wildlife and violent deaths are their only reward. The strongest survivors may be a natural enemy to fielded livestock, chickens or local small game such as rabbits and squirrels, at which time they become hunted themselves. They threat our farmers and burden our food chain. Feral Dog Project MO supports the use of humane trapping, rehabbing and placement of these dogs. In the future we hope to build a compound for feral dogs that will not make human companions. Here they could continue to live "wild" but with safety and care. These would be the exception as many is the time these lost terrified souls make wonderful pets!!
