Polk County Animal Control enforces the County Animal Control ordinance and the state Dangerous Dog statute, and provides low-cost dog and cat adoption services. Polk County Animal Control also investigates bite cases and animal attacks; picks up sick or injured dogs and cats; quarantines animals; and educates the public about rabies vaccination and prevention.

We are the only no-kill shelter in Northern Baja California. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home hundreds of dogs and cats, taking them from horrible living conditions to the lives they deserve.

Animal Control Field services and Shelter for County of Kern

Killeen Animal Control is a department within the Killeen Police Department. It is a kill shelter and operates on a strict first come first serve basis. As webmaster for the city of Killeen, I assist Animal Control in all internet-related matters.

I am a volunteer at the shelter and also a volunteer team leader for MCAS marketing. I have helped in many ways: foster, adopter, coordinator for off-site adoptions, assist with rescues, dog walker, computer input, lost dog walk-thru, help to adopt to families. I do it because I don't think we should be killing adoptable animals and I know I can make a difference.

We are Animal Services for the Austin/Travis County Health & Human Services Department. We are an open-intake shelter that takes in over 21,000 animals each year. We provide Animal Protection, Care & Control for Austin/Travis County. We also provide an array of pet homelessness prevention programs.
