​"I've been an animal lover and activist all my life. I used to live in Southern California and had a pet supply store from 1995 to 2010 where we only had rescue animals for adoption. I was one of the very first to apply this concept of getting animals out of high kill shelters and finding them good homes. In those 15 years I placed over 16,000 animals. I left California in 2016 and moved to Washington. Since living here I noticed that there are not as many animals here for adoption and, knowing the situation in LA, I wanted to start rescuing again. SPCA PETS SNAP of Montgomery County believes passionately in a community where animals are valued, treated with respect and kindness and provided with a secure and loving quality of life. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit all volunteer based organization that serve the citizens and animals of Montgomery County. To accomplish our mission we will... · Rescue and rehabilitate homeless animals providing a safe haven for the animals until a suitable adoptive home is found or until they are reunited with their owner through our "Save More Lives" program. · Through our "Humane Education and Public Awareness" program further the cause of responsible animal ownership, the great need to reduce the pet population by spaying or neutering their pets and encourage a stronger bond between people and their pets. · Provide a limited number of low-cost spay/neuter services for the people unable to afford to spay or neuter their pets otherwise through our "Last Litter" program. We are not an open admissions organization and we have a "no-kill policy for healthy, treatable and adoptable animals. VISION We understand that fulfilling our vision will mean a partnership with the entire community and all of our stakeholders. We envision a county where each companion animal finds a permanent and compassionate home, where communities are enriched by the special bond between people and animals, where cruelty no longer exists and where each home practices responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering their pets. We are a group of volunteers who have been in the rescue field since 2005 and volunteered as staff volunteers with other non-profit animal rescue groups. Now, we have our own group. We love and care about the present and future of the lives of the many homeless dogs and cats and strive to improve their lives for them to know stability, love and safety. We focus most of our resources to help our sister animal rescue group in the City of Tijuana, Mexico as we are achiving to work with the Mexican Goverment to implement educational programs of pet care and sterilization in schools and large working fabrics to be able to have a large mexican population know there is help out there and the importance of sterilizing and treating animals humanely. We also help other rescue groups from San Diego and LA as well as rescue animals that are being relinquished by owners or other unfortunate events.

We are a group of volunteers in Southern California, primarily in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned animals. We care for strays, abandoned animals, victims of abuse, and have rescued many from euthanization in animal shelters across California. At the present time we do not have a facility of our own to keep them, so we rely solely on the good will of foster families who care for them until they can be placed in permanent homes. We also work closely with other rescue groups and we are always in need of volunteers to assist in showing the animals on weekends and especially to foster pets until they are adopted. Our founders started many years ago as volunteers with various non-profit organizations across the United States and have made pet rescue a major part of their lives. Most of us have our own families of dogs, cats, and other pets who once were also rescues. "Critters in Need Pet Rescue" is an established animal rescue and placement group. With your help and the help of our friends, we will be able to save many lives and bring much happiness to many people and animals alike. We are constantly in need of help in various fields of pet adoption. Volunteers are desperately needed to provide foster homes, help showing animals to the public in pet shows and events, home visitations, publicity, pet transportation and a number of other projects aimed at placing as many animals as we can in the very best of homes.
