We rescue, care for, and rehabilitate dogs that may have medical issues and/ or may not be easiest to place because of lack of training and socialization. Many of our dogs are taken from the euthanasia lists at the County shelters; some are found dogs with no apparent homes.

Rescue Dogs Rock, Inc

PO Box 101 Gracie Station
New York
New York

info@rescuedogsrocknyc.org
Rescue Dogs Rock is a not for profit animal rescue founded in 2015. We exist solely on donations and will rely primarily on fundraising to help animals in need. Our mission is to raise awareness of the ever growing plight of homeless animals in this country, both in shelters and those dumped on our streets. Way too many amazing animals are euthanized every single day simply because they are homeless. We want to introduce these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not damaged goods or unworthy, but really can be great family pets. Because the abuse, neglect, cruelty and medical cases cost shelters the most money and are the most urgent, they are often the first animals euthanized. It is our goal to focus on the rescue of these urgent animals and provide them immediately the routine, emergency or specialized medical care they need and deserve. We will go beyond just vet care and get these animals rehabilitated as needed using trainers and behaviorists to help overcome issues related to past trauma. It is our belief that no injured or abused animal should lose its life simply due to lack of funds. We do not have our own shelter, and we will rely on volunteers, fosters and adopters to take the animals into their homes and provide them with proper care and nurturing. All of our animals will be vaccinated, heartworm tested, micro-chipped and altered. All of our homes, foster or adopter, will be fully screened, including references and vet check, an interview with the applicant and a home visit to ensure the home is the right fit for the animal. Our outreach and education efforts will take place online via Facebook, web site and other social media as well as in person in the community via community events, school assemblies and any place people may lawfully gather to exchange information and learn. Our message is one teaching general animal care and welfare, population control through spay and neuter and disease control in the animal population via proper vaccinations.

Help A Dog Smile

Phoenix
Arizona
85067
admin@helpadogsmile.org
Help A Dog Smile (HADS as we fondly call it) is a 501(c)3 non-profit Arizona corporation. We find loving homes for stray dogs and dogs on euthanasia lists at kill shelters throughout the state. At this time we do not take owner turn ins. We are simply too small and do not have the resources. Once we determine that the animal has no owner (if it is a stray) we place the dog in a boarding facility or foster home where the dog can receive the tender loving care he or she desperately needs. This always requires a veterinary check up, vaccinations, and usually a spay or neuter surgery. Once the animal is healthy, we seek a loving home where he or she can live out their life in happiness.

GOTGM began as a group that worked as a liaison between high kill shelters and rescue groups pulling animals that needed medical treatment, getting treatment and vetting done and then giving to the rescue group. GOTGM did the fundraising to pay for vetting, rescues kept the adoption fees. We have what is known as the Doggie Den where up to 2 pregnant momma dogs at a time can be pulled from shelters and kept safe to have their babies and stay until the pups are at least 8 weeks old and available for adoption. More recently GOTGM began growing a foster base of our own. We now pull dogs facing euthanasia that may need heartworm treatment, broken bones mended, or need emergency medical care (hit by care) and adopt them out ourselves when they are ready to go. We have a great core group of volunteers and expanding as are the services we provide in saving pets.

Collin County Animal Services is the stay hold facility for McKinney, Frisco, and most of the small towns and unincorporated areas of Collin County. Our adoption program is funded completely on donations and is run primarily by volunteers. Our staff and volunteers work hard daily to try to find homes for all our dogs and cats. We work very hard to minimize the possibility of having to euthanize due to lack of space. We are here to promote these wonderful dogs and cats as pets and find the perfect match for them.

Needy Paws Rescue

St. Louis
Missouri
63125
Needy Paws Rescue, located in St. Louis, MO, is devoted to saving animals in need whose lives are in danger at high kill animal shelters and animal controls, those who are strays, and dogs who have been abandoned or whose family has faced an extreme emergency, regardless of their size or breed. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run entirely by donations. Our organization is made up of volunteers who have been involved in various animal rescues in the St. Louis area and we use our knowledge and experience to make a difference. We believe spaying and neutering is a very important step in keeping pets healthy and happy, plus it helps decrease overpopulation. All of our rescued animals will be spayed or neutered, they will be microchipped to ensure they are identifiable if lost or stolen, and they will be current on all of their vaccinations before going to their forever homes. We are foster-based and all pets stay in approved foster homes that have passed inspections, reference checks and are qualified to take care of our rescued animals while they wait for their forever family. We are dedicated to finding the best forever homes and will be making home visits and conducting veterinarian checks and reference checks to ensure the pets will have a safe, loving, happy home. Forever families will be taught how to care for their pet and learn how to get the most out of their relationship with their new family member. Our rescue is run entirely on donations so if you'd like to donate to help pay for vetting & supplies, we'd be very appreciative! Our PayPal address is needypawsstl@gmail.com or if you'd prefer to donate through a PayPal Donate button, you can find one at www.needypaws.org at the bottom of the page. Thank you!
