We are the only no-kill shelter in Gilmer County. We began in 2000 and have rescued 6,000 animals. We are all volunteers dedicated to helping homeless animals find their forever homes.

All breed rescue that primarily fosters dogs, but some cats as well.

RU4Me Pet Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit dog and cat rescue dedicated to finding abandoned and unwanted loving dogs and cats new and forever homes.

The Calhoun County Humane Society, Inc. (dba The Animal Shelter), located in Anniston, Alabama, was established in 1973 as a result of the efforts of Susan Levens Phillips. Our mission is **To provide the pets in our care with a decent, safe and sanitary place; **To prevent cruelty to animals; **To stop suffering among animals mutilated or injured; **To educate the public about the tremendous pet over-population facing the United States; **To promote spaying and neutering to stop the senseless killing of animals; **To place as many pets as possible in responsible homes.

Almost Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization made up solely of volunteers. Our primary purpose is to rescue mistreated or homeless animals and place them in loving environments. We hope to bring about a significant change in the treatment of all animals through educational programs and by working closely with other rescue organizations and sanctuaries. Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation. No animal is expendable! We strive to give animals the safe and happy life they deserve.

We provide a great community service of matching great pets with great people. We love animals and believe in the ethical treatement of animals.

We are a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing a temporary nurturing home for homeless felines and actively trying to find permanent loving homes for same. We work closely with Orange County Animal Services, volunteering in their foster program as well as participating in other volunteer activities with them. We also seek to educate the public in regards to the problem of pet overpopulation, the benefits of spay/neuter and general cat care.

Our organization is a non-profit 501(C)(3) rescue formed to offer an alternative for canines and felines that would otherwise face an uncertain future. We are a group of volunteers that have a passion for animals and the rescue mission of finding loving homes for the animals under our care. No loving companions are adopted out until they are spayed or neutered, check by a veterinarian, vaccinated and tested. Foster homes are always scarce and in high demand so if you can open your hearts and your home to help our animals it would be much appreciated. Every foster makes it possible for another unwanted animal to find a loving home. Locations in the Lawton area would be ideal but no home will be excluded for consideration. What would a non-profit be without donations? Remember donations are all tax deductible. Wouldn't you rather give to loving cause then Good old Uncle Sam! If you are like us, we have already given at the office! Barn homes are needed from time to time for our felines that just can't seem to adjust living with us humans. So, we would like to see them put to work catching those pesky little rodents. We will make sure you will have a healthy and vetted cat, if you will make sure the cat has a warm shelter from our cold winter nights, supplemental food and water and a kind eye out for his/her needs. The cat will make sure to provide you with a rodent free barn. It's a win/win situation. Are you a literary giant like Hemingway or Steinbeck and can plead a case? We need grant writers! Grants are the lifeblood of any rescue. We are busy taking care of the animals and finding homes and need you to put pen to paper! If you can't adopt, foster. If you can't foster, sponsor. If you can't sponsor, volunteer. If you can't volunteer, donate. If you can't donate, educate, network and crosspost. EVERYONE can do something, large or small, to help save a life.
