I started PAWS-OK in 2008 with a vet friend. Prior to that, I had volunteered at the local shelter and then with another rescue before i struck out on my own. Over 90% of our rescues come from private citizens but also, on occasion take medical cases from local shelters. Every cat who comes into our hands is S/N before adoption and offer free s/n & vacs to community cats with or pregnant with, kittens before being returned to their caretakers. Our organization is very small and all rescues are fostered in volunteer homes until they are ready to go to our Adoption Center. We check out all our potential adopters to verify living arrangements (rent, owns etc) and call their vets to confirm s/n status of existing pets and record of care (UTD on vaccs & seen annually for wellness exams). Our minimum age to adopt is 21. Our contract requires cats be indoor only pets and that the owners will not declaw them. Currently we have placed approx 1600 cats.

Founded in 2003 by Lana Bajsel, Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue (a registered 501(C)3 non-profit organization), has worked tirelessly within the San Francisco community to help stop the overpopulation of abandoned and unwanted adult and senior cats. As a small group of dedicated volunteers, we try to save as many feline lives as we can. We provide behavioral and medical intervention, unconditional love and a safe haven while we seek new forever homes for our feline friends. As many of you know, the odds are stacked against older cats that are placed in local shelters. Here in San Francisco, most adult cats are at risk of being euthanized, whether it is due to their age, easily treatable medical conditions, or due to the stress of being placed in a shelter. We believe that adult and senior cats, with their typically calm personalities, can make the best of family pets. Our mission is to rescue these cats and find them loving, permanent homes through fostering and active adoption strategies.

We are a 501c3 Non profit organization assisting in the surgical cost of spaying or neutering a cat or dog for Michigan residents that receive state or federal aid. We also have a branch of Spay Neuter Assistance Program of Michigan, with some pets available for adoption. We foster in our homes. All of our pets are Spayed or Neutered, up to date on vaccinations. Cats are tested for felv/FIV, dogs are tested for heart worm.

I am a cat lover and have done significant efforts to improve the life of those cats that crossed my path. I have recently started a DBA to facilitate adoption process of my current foster cats. I have done TNR over an area of Spring Branch (zip code 77080) for about 8 years now. I funded myself or with help of local charities such (CAP, Best Friends etc.). It was sad to return the cats after TNR knowing that they may not have any meal, so I became colony manager (Feeding and TNR) of a colony of 45 stray cats over the same area for about 7 years. Some of the cats that I daily feed are young and friendly, so I enroll them for adoption with local rescue groups when they have capacity. With their help, I have been able to find homes for about 60 friendly cats and young kittens. I fostered them and in many cases covered the vetting to enroll them in adoption programs of HOPE rescue, Save A Purrfect Cat Rescue, Houston Cares Animal Rescue among others. I feel like I have learned about rescue, fostering and adoption process for the last 6 years and could continue serving the community independently. I learned about your Adoption Portal functionality by volunteering with HOPE rescue. I really like the fact that you could post pets for adoption on multiple sites, that is a fantastic marketing option. It is my dream being able post my current foster cats stories (see my instagram site "Adoptable_Cats_Houston for your reference) and find them forever homes. Last Chance Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c) (3). We are a no-kill shelter founded on our belief that all cats deserve a chance. Our amazing team is completely staffed by volunteers. Our board members receive no pay. ALL proceeds benefit cat surgeries and care.

We are trying to eliminate the suffering of cats in this state. Our primary objective is to TNR, but have found ourselves spending more time caring for cats that no longer have homes. So we are also a sanctuary. We have not adopted out even one cat since we started.

We are a small grass roots all volunteer run rescue group that started as one person trying to help the stray cats and dogs in her South Los Angeles community Over the past nine years we have grown to 75 volunteers and numerous adoption locations. We are the project of a 501C3 organization and partner with numerous rescues in the are.

We are a cat kitten rescue501c3 and have devoted decades as well as incredible funding and resources to ending homelessness, cruelty and neglect. We are 100% volunteer based and have received Maddie Funds grants, Manatee County Animal Services cooperative grants and recently received a large FAF grant to TNR. We use many tools to end homelessness in cats and kittens thru adoption, spays,neuters, tNR’s, education, awareness. Some of us have migrated from the canine world where things are much better. Dogs are not born under every dumpster and the author of this has worked for decades to close commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy mills). Community cat colony maintenance and pawpulation control is another aspect of this rescue.

We began taking in animals in 2015. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets. We interpret this mission to mean we help people going into nursing homes, assisted living, hospice, managing illness, and after the owner has passed away. We want to provide people and pets with peace of mind. We want owners to know their animals are well cared for and to keep senior animals out of shelters.
