My name is Lynne Runge, I’m the founder/director at Saving Grace. Saving Grace is a (501c3) nonprofit foster-based animal rescue focusing on saving lives of animals in overcrowded kill shelters. To provide loving homes & will be accepting owner surrenders. We do not have breed discrimination when it comes to saving. Our priority will be pregnant/nursing moms, orphan puppies & seniors. CrisisDogsNC is a foster-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit founded in 2017 by journalist and author Judith Reitman Texier whose investigative articles garnered international awards and prompted changes in animal welfare laws. She created the Organization in response to North Carolina’s euthanasia rate which is among the highest in the country and to many of its shelters’ methods of euthanasia that are so inhumane they are outlawed in most other states. ​ We rescue dogs from kill shelters, substandard backyard breeders, hoarders, and from chains. We provide full medical care, foster homes, and transport by land and air through our partnership with PilotsNPaws to fully screened and qualified adopters all along the East Coast. ​ What distinguishes us from other rescues is our focus on the relationship between the rescued dog and the new family. By understanding your lifestyle and expectations, as well as the personalities of our rescue dogs, we can make a compatible match for a lifelong bond. We are in it for the life of the dog. At any point after adoption, if the adopter's situation changes for whatever reason, we will always accept the dog back into the rescue.

Angels 4 Paws’ mission is to enhance the lives of animals at the shelters and save precious souls by placing them in foster care while actively seeking permanent and loving homes.

Hearts United for Animals is a Smithsonian Award winning, state-of-the-art no-kill shelter and sanctuary dedicated to relieving the suffering of domestic animals. HUA has rescued over 12,000 dogs from puppy mills, provided low cost spay/neuter services for over 14,000 patients, and offers temporary housing for animals of families fleeing domestic violence. We have placed thousands of cats and dogs in wonderful new homes across the country through our JetSet Dogs program. The Proud Pets Program provides free veterinary care for the beloved pets of previously homeless veterans. Fetching Hearts Rescue is committed to saving the lives of homeless dogs through foster and adoption while promoting education on responsible pet ownership. Fetching Hearts is a rescue, not a dog shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location – they are in foster homes both in Connecticut & with our southern rescue partners.
