About VHS Valley Humane Society has worked to save and improve the lives of Tri-Valley companion animals since 1987. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our programs and services are made possible by the generosity of private donors. We receive no government funds, tax dollars, or money from national humane organizations. Contributions of all sizes matter greatly, and we use them wisely! Our Vision A world in which every animal is loved and every person knows the love of an animal. Our Mission Valley Humane Society (VHS) creates a brighter future for cats and dogs by encouraging and strengthening the bond between people and pets. VHS rescues and rehabilitates companion animals, champions responsible caretaking, shares pets’ soothing affections with people in need of comfort, and supports and preserves existing pet-guardian relationships.

The mission of East of Eden is to: Improve the welfare of companion animals in our service area, including rescue/adoption and feral cat management Provide community outreach and education, particularly to underserved populations Provide behavioral and medical rehabilitation for animals in our program, establishing best practices for these procedures Conduct a well-run, sustainable animal rescue operation, which will serve our communities now and in the future We strive to make animal adoption a triumphant and inspiring experience for one and all. A non-profit organization that enhances the quality of life for Atascosa County animals by providing vet care, fostering and placing in forever homes

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). We primarily support the East County Animal Shelter (ECAS) in Dublin, CA to help owners locate their missing pets and to assist people selecting a pet to adopt. Tri-Valley Animal Rescue also places animals from ECAS and other area shelters in foster care in the homes of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them perrmanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. We have a variety of volunteer programs including a shelter program and four foster programs. We are always looking for more volunteers - especially fosters.
