Our name says it all, PIPs’ primary focus are medical and special needs dogs that are often overlooked. We call these dogs “PIP-abled” which means perfectly imperfect. A dog that may need a wheelchair, is missing limbs, deaf, blind or in need of some extra love and care – this is our niche. While we love our PIP-abled dogs; puppies, healthy adult dogs, and seniors have our hearts as well. We are inclusive of all dogs in need.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which rescues cats and kittens from their last hours at animal control and provides them with food, love, and medical care, until permanent, loving homes are found. We do it because we love cats and want to help save lives, and educate people about spay/neuter and pet overpopulation.

WHO WE ARE Wanda's Little Rescue is a not for profit rescue, that is based in Raleigh, NC. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused, unwanted and abandoned small dogs from kill shelters in and around the Carolinas. We also will take in strays from the street to keep them from going into a kill shelter. On occasion, we will also save a dog from Craigslist, to keep them from falling into the wrong hands, for unspeakable reasons. Wanda's Little Rescue is a private, foster home-based rescue and we do not have a public shelter for viewing our dogs. All of our dogs are in foster homes, prior to them being adopted into their forever homes. All of our dogs in our care are full vetted prior to adoption. This means they are examined, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and receive any and all necessary medical treatment before being placed as available for adoption. Our potential adopters are carefully screened and thoroughly interviewed, to decide if they are a good fit for our dogs. We want to help to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, one pet at a time. Who We Are: 2PawsUp started in early 2007 when a small group of volunteers began helping to transport animals from the Harnett County Animal Control Facility to people who wanted to adopt but could not make it to the shelter themselves. After months of this service, we expanded our services to a full adoption agency. We are now a recognized non-profit, 501c3 organization in the state of North Carolina. We are a devoted team of animal-loving philanthropists with a desire to make a difference in the North Carolina community. Our Mission: 2PawsUp's mission is to save animals on death row in high kill shelters; provide any needed medical care; and find loving, safe forever homes for each and every animal. 2PawsUp also seeks to raise the awareness of overpopulation and high euthanasia rates in North Carolina, and to help stop the endless cycle of animals ending up in shelters by spaying and neutering every animal that comes through the 2PawsUp program. Why We Are Different: As a future pet owner, you are probably looking for an adoption agency that is right for you. Each rescue group should have something that appeals to different groups of people, so everyone can find their future pet. This is what makes us different from other rescue organizations: ·· Our main focus is shelter pets. Most rescue groups focus on stray animals before they end up in the shelter. We try to help as many animals that are in imminent danger of being put down. We do accept animals from elsewhere as well, but high-kill shelters are our main focus. ·· Our adoption fees vary between animals, as we try to keep our adoption fees as low as possible. We do not charge you for something we did not provide. For example, if a dog came into the shelter already neutered, the cost of that neuter will NOT be included in his adoption fee.
