Scurvy Dog Rescue SATX saves dogs from our local kill shelter and also from off the streets. San Antonio has a large stray animal population and we try to do our part to help homeless dogs find a forever home. We are a small home based rescue and do not have a shelter facility. We try to do our part by saving one dog at a time.

L&S Dog Diggity Rescue

We are L&S Dog Diggity Rescue, named after Lobo and Sydney, the first two dogs rescued under our care. We intake homeless dogs, mostly stray or abandoned, especially around the military bases in San Antonio, TX. Most of our founders are veterans and have seen the high numbers of dumped pets near bases that need rescue. Due to the high numbers of homeless pets in our immediate area, we have partnered with reputable rescue groups in other areas, with significantly fewer homeless pets, to find qualified adopters in order to actively impact the reduction the homeless pet population here.

Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue is an independent "special needs" rescue in San Antonio and was founded in January 2013 by Sherry Pfau. We save the lives of less adoptable cats and kittens that may otherwise be discarded or euthanized. All Wayward cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated and FIV/FeLV tested, given a flea preventive, and cared for until they are placed in a forever home. If the cat has an injury or illness they will be treated prior to adoption as well. WWCR is an approved Animal Care Services rescue! We are also a recognized Texas non-profit and will be filing for our 501(c)(3) status in 2014!

2 women over 50 yrs of age who have fostered for Helotes Humane Society and Animal Defense League in San Antonio Tx. We are mostly street rescuers for dumped, abandoned, injured and abused dogs. We take in pregnant strays if they are trusting, if not we take their entire litter out of the environment as soon as possible to prevent harm or health complications. We also pull dogs on the euthanisa list from ACS Animal Control Services in San Antonio and surrounding areas. We do this because all dogs have feelings just as people do and they deserve to live a healthy happy life filled with love.

I have been a foster for another organization for over 3 years. I have trained with CERT, HSUS, AHA, and local rescue groups. My love for animals extends to those who have been dumped along the road by people that know no better. My heart aches at the plight of animals in the hands of bad humans and I believe God has placed this ache in my heart to do something to help those I can.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these animals by providing needed medical care, including spaying and neutering. Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas

PO Box 17736

DDRTXINFO@gmail.com(844) 703-6943
Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a foster based rescue group in the heart of Texas that is dedicated to the health, welfare and happiness of our dachshund friends. We have foster families in from San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin, Georgetown, Kerrville, and other parts of Central Texas. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. As such, we must rely heavily on donations and contributions, which are a necessity in order to continue to be able to pay the costs of health care, administrative needs, and other necessary expenses for each of our dachshunds. Diamond Dachshund has rescued, rehabilitated and placed approximately one hundred dachshunds each year since our incorporation in 1998. That's a lot of happy, healthy dogs and equally happy families! We strive to find the right home for each dog's individual personality and needs, so that the placement is permanent and both the dogs and the humans who adopt them, are equally happy.
