St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.

Rebels Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to facilitating the rescue of and finding new homes for stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered animals in the Tampa Bay and surrounding area. Rebels Rescue animals are placed with foster families that generously open their homes to animals in need. Rebels Rescue animals are provided with all necessary veterinary care. They are checked for internal parasites, fleas, and ear mites, then given treatments and immunizations as required. Cats and kittens are checked for feline leukemia and FIV, dogs and puppies are checked for heartworm, and all animals are treated accordingly.

We are like minded individuals that have been in rescue over 15 years. We wanted to start our own organization because we wanted the freedom to do more rescues and transport of animals out of kill shelters to give them a chance for a new life. We do it because we love to help animals. We named it after Little Ray a blind kitty that goes to schools to teach children how wonderful animals are and that you do not have to be perfect to be perfect....We also have Wonder another blind cat and Dobie a little chihauhau that goes to schools and teach children how to treat and love animals. We also teach how important spay/neutering is to everyone.

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue was founded by me named in memory of our golden retriever rescue Maxx who we lost at 3.5 yrs old from histiocytic sarcoma. I have been involved in rescue for years - all my dogs are rescues, I have transported thousands of animals from shelters to fosters/adopters, been on a pilots n paws flight to help a rescue. I am a real estate broker by trade and currently the majority of dogs saved are funded by me personally until we grow. We saved 23 dogs from a FL hoarder in Levy in Feb/March of this year.

I started PPH because of the high kill rate at our county shelter. We save the dogs and cats that are on Euthanasia and high risk report. Many only have last minute to save their lives.

We save as many Dalmatians, including mixes, as possible from Florida shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of room or health issues. If we have room, we help Dals in out-of-state shelters. We assist area shelters in placing Dalmatians through ongoing ads in local papers. We screen prospective owners thoroughly with home and veterinary reference checks. At our care-for-life sanctuary and in foster homes, we house up to 20 Dalmatians that cannot find homes due to age or illness. We provide on-going support and education to all adopters. We spay or neuter all the Dalmatians we place and give them all the medical treatment they need before placement.

Our mission statement is rescue dogs from euthanasia and find them loving homes. And to educate the public on spay or neuter. 8 million pets got put to sleep in 2008. We are trying to lower that number. We take owner surrenders and rescue dogs from shelters in florida.

Cat Lovers Inc. is a small south Tampa all-volunteer organization working to rescue stray cats and find them forever homes. We are involved in helping control the feral cat population in Hillsborough County though the TNR program (trap, neuter & return). Our goal is to stop euthanasia as a population control. We also educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter and regular vet checkups for pets.
