As an active Animal Rescue Service since 2016, Tucson Central Animal Rescue is committed to providing amazing homes to all our nursery pets that come into our care. Our purpose is too spay and neuter as many stray, injured or in need nursery animals before they reach the age to breed, this will assure they will never be used to reproduce in forever homes. Taking control in the over populations of pets and over crowding in shelters.

Myself (Stefanie) & my partner Ashley founded this organization in Oct. 2019. We both have full time jobs all while running this organization. Stefanie handles intake, kenneling, going through adoption applications/meet & greets & finalizing adoptions. Ashley is our social media director. She runs our website, posts all available dogs on our various adoption sites & also helps Stefanie with the day-to-day. We provide low cost spay/neuter, vaccinations & microchipping to our community. We also hand out free, pre-bagged dog food to those in need. We do this to help the helpless animals in need & to do our part in preventing the overpopulation of unwanted, neglected & abused animals.

We are an independent 501(c)(3) organization made up of experienced volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue and adoption of homeless Labrador Retrievers and their offspring that are in need of safe and loving homes.We respond to requests for help from shelters, aid in the recovery of lost/abandoned Labradors and accept owner surrenders. We carefully place our Labradors into foster care. While in foster care, the dog receives any medical treatment they need and are microchipped. This most often consists of spaying or neutering, updating vaccinations, testing for heartworm, tick and valley fever and treatment of whatever medical issues are deemed necessary and treatable. We do not maintain a shelter, but instead find it beneficial to care for our Labradors in the homes of our foster families. This provides our Labradors the opportunity to maintain, or regain, their confidence as a valued member of a family. It allows our fosters an opportunity to evaluate the temperament and needs of the Labrador in order to find the most suitable adopters and permanent home environment. We work to educate the public about the virtues of the Labrador Retriever breed. We encourage the public to join this cause through donations, volunteerism and humane care of animals. We also strive to reduce the pet overpopulation problem by educating about the importance of spaying and neutering animals. The Labradors who are in the rescue process have been evaluated to best of our ability to assure that they are friendly to humans and other dogs. We carefully screen Labs with a history of biting, people or dog aggression and/or severe anxiety issues. We will not intake a dog that is a serious safety risk. However, we will provide training to correct behavioral issues when it is deemed plausible by our medical and behavioral volunteers.

Our main goal is working with our local shelter in identifying special needs/ medical needs dogs and taking them into rescue. providing all vet care and helping them find wonderful forever homes.

We are a small in home foster based rescue, specializing in pregnant dogs, families and orphaned puppies. We intake from the local shelters as well as owner surrenders and strays that owners have not claimed. We were started because of the need for this specialized service. We do it because of our love of dogs and the need these animals have to find loving, caring homes.

We are AZ's 1st No-Kill, No-Cage cat shelter. We take in cats and kittens from the public but also make regular rescues from the local kill shelters. Mission To advocate for homeless cats in our community by: • Actively seeking permanent, loving homes for the cats in our care • Providing lifelong care to those cats who for behavioral or medical reasons are unable to be re-homed • Educating the public about responsible companion animal guardianship • Adhering to the principle of “no-kill” in that no cat in our care will ever be euthanized to make room for another. Nor, will any cat in our care ever be destroyed except in cases of terminal and painful illness or when compassion demands it because there is no reasonable alternative. OUR MISSION: Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue (SoAZBR) is a charitable, non-profit, 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization dedicated to Beagle and Beagle-mix dog rescue. We provide education on the breed and general animal welfare. Additionally, we actively promote Spay and Neuter programs and the "No Kill" philosophy. We also provide education, training and referral services for families needing to find a new home for their beagle. Formed in October 2005, we serve all of southern Arizona, including Pima, Cochise, Santa Cruz and Pinal counties.
