Chuck Schmidt started rescuing animals years ago when he had to retire because of health problems. He will not turn down any animal. He specializes in dogs that need rehabilitation. He was a dog trainer in the Army so he has the experience and knowledge. Chuck will take back any animal that the new family wants to return. He is interested in only finding them good homes for the animals.

The applicant is interviewed, a background check is completed, the fee is waived for most families, an adoption application, and the family is educated on the animal's training and health requirements.
