We founded APA more than 10 years ago to start modeling more friendly, progressive animal-welfare services in our area to help our community reach our No Kill goals. We focus primarily on pulling cats/dogs at our municipal shelter vs. taking directly from the public.

All adopters have to go thru in-person animal meets and greets and counseling with us; application is then filled out and reviewed if all looks good and it's a good match. If approved, we practice open adoptions (animals go home that day with adopters). Our regular fee is $50 for all adoptions. And we offer lots of post-adoption support for any issues that may arise, questions, etc. If warranted, we reserve the right to do home checks.
