Ana’s Safe Haven provides a temporary haven for neglected animals found in the streets, shelters and other areas of the Rio Grande Valley where the population of dogs far exceeds good, loving homes. We are a foster-based Rescue with fosters in Texas, Michigan and Indiana.

Our rescue dogs receive a complete health check-up, are spayed/neutered (age appropriate), heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Our adoption process consists of people first filling out an application via our website, we review for eligibility, contact their veterinarian to verify information on application if we believe person is a good candidate, we conduct a meet and greet, a home visit and close out adoption with a contract. Our adoption fees are $400 for unaltered puppies adopted out with a spay/neuter contract, $350 for altered puppies, $300 for adults & $200 for seniors.
