Ashland Animal Rescue Fund, Inc., a nonprofit, strives to reduce homeless animals by rescuing and rehabilitating them prior to finding them permanent safe and loving homes. We take pride in working to help prevent animal overpopulation and addressing the health and welfare of animals. Every pet is spayed or neutered as part of being fully vetted. This includes shots and any necessary testing. The animals health is of the utmost priority. AARF is dedicated to placing animals by utilizing a thorough adoption application process or working with other reputable no kill rescues.
We have an application process for animal adoption. All references (personal, veterinarian, landlord, etc.) will be checked by an assigned member of AARF Adoption Team. Applications must be pre-approved prior to the animal leaving with the adopter. Home visits are made prior to finalizing an adoption of any pit bull or pit bull mix breed. Follow up phone calls will be made twice and follow up photos need to be sent to our Facebook page. Adopters are informed that if at any time the pet must be rehomed, it must be returned to AARF.
