Description

We strive really hard at our shelter to be as low kill as possible. We work really hard to raise money for surgeries and vetting for our animals. We want our animals to go to the best homes possible and work with several different rescues. I started volunteering at the shelter 5 years ago. I started working part time 4 years ago, and went to full time 3 years ago. I love working with animals. I do a little bit of everything here at the shelter. I administer medicines, vaccines, do adoptions, do rescue, take animals to the vet for their spay/neuter, and do transports.

Adoption Process

All animals are required by state law to be spay/neutered. If the animal is of age, we take it to be altered before going to the new adopter. If animal is not old enough the adopter signs a contract stating they will have then animal altered when it becomes of age, or CCACA will confiscate the animal back. Our adoption contract also states that if the animal does not work out for any reason at all it has to be brought back to the shelter. Our normal adoption fees are $75 (unless sponsored by someone in the public. Our adoption fees includes spay/neuter, rabies, vaccinations, and worming. All adopters must be 18 years or older and we make a copy of all adopters drivers license.
