Description

We are a small group of dedicated people who want to ensure the proper treatment and care of the animals that we are lucky enough to help along their journey. We pull take in surrenders and strays from the towns listed above as well as take dogs and cats from crowded shelters in the south that would otherwise be euthanized. We are here to educate our local community on the proper care for the animals we are helping to rehome. We also offer a safe haven program and often work with a domestic violence shelter in our community to temporarily house animals for those that have been displaced due to a crisis. We take animals in our community that have some severe medical issues that would otherwise not be taken care of to try to better the animals lives and find them a better home to go to once they have recovered. We work closely with our local law enforcement to help with cruelty and neglect cases as well.

Adoption Process

Our process starts by filling out an adoption application. Interested adopters must complete an interview with an adoption counselor to make sure that their expectations and previous history of animal care is appropriate. We also do a vet check for any current and previous animals within the last 5 years. If the potential adopter rents we require either a signed lease or verbal confirmation from the landlord about requirements and restrictions. If the potential adopter has any other animals in the home they all are required to be spayed and neutered. For any family that owns a dog and is looking to adopt another a meet and greet with their family dog and our dog is required before sending the new dog home. All family members must come to meet the new animal and everyone must be on board before taking the animal home.

Our adoption fees are as follows:

Puppies 2-5months : $495

Puppies 6-11 Months: $395

Adult dogs 1yr-7yrs: $325

Senior dogs 8yrs+ : $125

Kittens 2-11 months $175

Adult cats 1yr-11yrs $ 100

Senior cats 12+ $45

All of our animals go home spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, monthly preventatives, dewormed and fecal tested, health certificate(for transport animals), FIV/FeLV or 4DX tested.
