Covenant Pet Trust Inc. is a registered nonprofit (501c3 filed) organization formed to educate and assist pet parents to plan for the future of their pets without them. We work with all pet parents including terminally ill or permanently disabled pet owners. Our mission is to keep pets and owners together for as long as medically feasible and to honor the owners' wishes for their pets' ultimate future. Services include in-home care assistance for pets to help keep them in their home, foster care, relocation, re-homing through our adoption program or other disposition as required. Covenant Pet Trust Directors and Volunteers are here to provide comfort and peace of mind for pet owners and to prevent neglect, abuse and euthanasia of pets.

Once an animal is rec'd into our organization we provide a health check, vaccines, spay/neuter and a microchip. The pet is placed into a foster home. Once the pet is available for adoption we require an adoption application that includes a visit with the animal and the family at our location. We require that if they have pets all pets must be current on vaccs/heartworm prevention. We do a county criminal check online. If they claim they own their home we check with the county appraiser office online. If they rent we contact the landlord for permission to have a pet. We do a home visit to ensure the pet will be safe in the new home. Once the adoption is approved the microchip is registered to both the owner and CPT in the event that the pet is given up to a shelter in the future. All adopters are told their pet may be returned at any time under any circumstances and are required to sign an adoption agreement. Our adoption fee is $115.00
