Our mission is too create a Foster, Adoption & Rescue (FAR) network so that no owner-relinquished or stray animal has to be held in a municipal shelter awaiting adoption or potential euthanasia due to overcrowded conditions.
FAR Side Journey is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization.
âWe are dedicated saving the lives of shelter animals through rescue, education and supporting other rescue organizations and municipal animal shelters so that all animals have a safe environment while awaiting adoption.
Our commitment includes Fospice care for animals that have been diagnosed with life-limiting injuries and non-contagious illnesses, forever fostering for animals with special needs, and support fostering for our partner organizations.
Our vision is to see the day that municipal animal shelters no longer have to euthanize any adoptable companion animal.
FAR Side Journey's adoption fee is usually between $150 - $400.
Potential adopters will need to complete an adoption application and contract prior to approval for adoption of a pet in our care.
