Our history

For Paws Sake Rescue was incorporated on 1/6/2017 as a 501c3 non-profit organization. in San Antonio, TX. The establishment of the rescue comes from a deep-seated desire to make a difference in a dog's life that does not have a loving home and family. One dog at a time we will make a difference.

Who We Are

For Paws Sake Rescue is the dream of the founder Melody, RN, USAF Veteran. Melody saw firsthand the heart wrenching conditions of street dogs in South Texas. After adopting and rescuing her own pups, Melody wanted to help make a differnce in the lives of unwanted dogs and volunteered for several rescues. "If the time comes that I have the chance to start a rescue, I'm going for it". Well, that day finally came and For Paws Sake Rescue was born.
