Gdar is small home based rescue, mostly accepting strays and own surrenders but we do have the occasional shelter pull if space permits. We do have a limited space availability of 10 and don't use fosters. We are building our own building starting September 26,2016 at that point our intake should be able to double if donations allow. We are one of the fastest growing rescues around, this is our second year as a 501c3. I got into rescue because of my love for dogs, I started with transport and fostering for another organization that will alway be dear to me, but branched off on my own due to the fact our county, and literally hundreds of small towns around don't type have any type of municipal animal services at all.
Because the dogs live where I reside; We have an application process, references are checked prior to meeting the animals, so the adopter is preapproved before they come. If they do not meet our vetting standards, they are turned down. We do have contract stating they will care for and provide vet care and explains our return policy. Fees range from $50 to $250 depending on age and breeds.
