Gary became a private pilot in May 2011 at the age of 36. He wanted to do something useful
with the new skill other than just practice landings. He did a couple of missions for Pilots N
Paws. He was then asked if he could drive dogs which led into years of transporting for many
rescues. He then created Help For The Dogs to raise money for transports and anything that
could be done.
In 2015, Garyâs wife Amy expressed the interest to pull dogs under the charity so they could
control their own destiny. She thought she could work with foster dogs and fosters âfurâ parents
the same way she worked with hundreds of foster kids and parents through the state of
Georgia.
In 2016 after Gary and Amy had their son, they registered with the state and city to be licensed.
They came across a lot of talented, passionate people that could give/work with Help For The
Dogs in many ways.
Will have contracts and fees in place this week
Gary has conducted some home visits for other rescues and will for his own
