Our mission: To rescue, care for, and rehabilitate unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs of herding breeds, concentrating on Australian Cattle Dogs and Border Collies.
Our focus is on their permanent placement into appropriate, loving homes, and informing the public about the special nature and needs of herding breeds.
We have an adoption agreement/contract, which spells out the level of care and responsibilities required by adopters, including spay and neutering, if it has not already been done (mostly puppies). In the vast majority of cases, we spay/neuter our dogs prior to adoption. If adopters do not comply with our requirements, we have the right to re-possess a dog. We will always take any of our rescues back, if an adopter cannot keep a dog for any reason. We request a donation/fee to help reimburse us for our costs. Our adoption fee for each depends on our costs for the particular dog, but we cap our fees at $300. We happily accept donations, if adopters choose to contribute additional funds to us.
