We aim to provide the highest level of medical care and love to each animal for the rest of their lives. There are so many animals in need and we are grateful to be able to help as many as we can.

Kimâs Nurturing Nest Animal Sanctuary Adoption Agreement
(Please initial each line, after have read it.)
1. I WILL NOT declaw the cat under any circumstance. I (we) understand that declawing involves surgical amputation of the first digit of a catâs toes. It is an extremely painful procedure that can result in unwanted behavior such as biting, skittishness, or urination outside the litter box. Unwanted scratching behavior can be managed by an attentive and patient owner who is willing to clip the catâs claws and teach it to use a scratching post using positive reinforcement.
2. I understand the cat is a family member and will be living inside. I will make to keep the animal safe from injury such as toxic chemicals, falls, predators, and so forth.
3. I will provide proper basic necessities such as clean environment, housing, bed, carrier, food, water, litter box and medical care.
4. I will provide proper veterinary care for vaccine updates, yearly check ups, illness and death.
5. I will spay/neuter any new animal brought into my home that will be living with this animal.
6. If the cat has been micro-chipped, I (we) agree to keep the registration information current and accurate. In addition, we agree to provide a safety break-away or elastic-type collar with an identification tag with the owner's name and phone number. The Adopter hereby agrees to promptly take all actions that are necessary to transfer Adopterâs information with respect to the microchip identification. https://www.my24pet.com/ If the Animal is not microchipped, the Adopter hereby agrees to promptly microchip and properly register the Animal.
7. I (we) agree not to sell, trade or give away the cat. I (we) agree not to give the cat to anyone as a gift. If at any time I (we) can no longer care for or keep the cat, I (we) will return the cat to Kim of Kimâs Nurturing Nest Animal Sanctuary (415) 717-4457.
8. I (we) agree not to keep the cat confined in a room or small area for long periods of time.
9. I (we) agree that the cat will not be used, sold or traded for experimentation; nor will the cat be used as bait for fighting dogs; for making fur items for humans; for ritual killings; for eating; or for sex.
10. I (we) agree that the cat will not be left alone in a vehicle, no matter how short the time to prevent theft, escape, or injury/death from extreme heat or cold.
11. I (we) understand that is my obligation to provide enrichment and stimulation for the cat. If challenging behaviors occur I (we) understand it is my job to seek education such a certified behaviorist, positive reinforcement trainer or other.

By signing this contract, I (we) swear that all statements on my (our) Application for Adoption are true. I (we) certify that I (we) have not been convicted of a charge of or related to cruelty to animals, and that no such charge is pending. I (we) understand that this pet may be repossessed in the event of misrepresentation of any facts provided in this application, if the cat's home is found to be injurious to the health, safety or welfare of the cat, or if I (we) fail to comply with any of the provisions of this contract. I (WE) RELEASE THE PEOPLE PROVIDING THIS CAT FROM ALL LIABILITY AND INJURY SUSTAINED WHILE THE CAT IS IN MY (OUR) POSSESSION.
