We at NOKHS are dedicated to improve the lives of companion animals in our community and finding permanent and loving adoptive homes for the cats and dogs in our care. We provide a safe haven for animals in transition, serve as advocates for animals and their people, work to end animal overpopulation and educate the public about compassion and responsibility towards all animals. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that does not receive any government funding and relies on the good will and generosity of individuals, corporations, and adopters.

We have lots of promotions and discounts on an ongoing basis. We follow the Adopters Welcome philosophy and have more of a conversation based approach to adoption counseling.
