Northwoods Animal Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of animals in Northern Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide shelter, care, and advocacy for animals in need, and to work towards reducing animal cruelty and neglect in our community. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we work tirelessly to provide medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation to animals in our care until they find their forever homes. We hope to ease the burden on area shelters with spay/neuter programs to avoid unwanted litters, microchipping to get animals back home as quickly as possible, and providing assistance to pet owners to keep animals with their loving families. We are a volunteer team of dedicated animal lovers with years of experience in animal care and welfare. We work closely with volunteers, local businesses, and partner organizations to provide the best possible care for local animals in need. Our long-term vision is a world where all animals are treated with kindness and compassion, and our work is driven by our commitment to making this vision a reality.
Northwoods Animal Alliance (NWAA) is dedicated to finding the perfect match for each animal. We often receive multiple applications for the same pet. We ask that you be patient as we contact each applicant.
Our priority is to find the perfect forever home for each dog or cat, taking into consideration the petâs personality characteristics, age, energy level, health status, etc., as well as the living situation within the home of a potential adopter. Note that submission of an adoption application does not guarantee that you will be selected as the new guardian for an animal.
Our volunteer fosters know their foster animalâs behavior and temperament and are trained to look for the best fit in placing the pets. We consider many factors before finalizing adoptions. We also check vet references and we conduct home visits. You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt an animal from NWAA.
NWAA does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, gender, race, sexual orientation, or marital status. NWAA only concern is finding the right home for each animal in our care. Due to the nature of our adoption process, we generally only adopt to homes located within 60 miles of St. Germain, WI.
