One of A Kind works daily toward making our community “no kill” where all pets have loving homes, to saving the lives of animals in imminent danger of euthanasia and enriching the lives of people through rescue, spaying/neutering, adoption and advocacy on behalf of homeless pets. Animals are provided care and shelter until they are adopted into forever homes.

Owning a pet is a lifetime commitment. Please consider carefully the time and money required to own a pet before you make the decision to adopt. Adopting a pet from OOAK is a thorough process including an Adoption Application and interview to ensure that each adopted animal is matched to the Adopter. All animals available for adoption are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Our adoption staff will review any medical or behavioral information relevant to the animal, explain policies and services available to adopters, and collect adoption fees. Adoption fees usually range from $25 to $350. A contract is signed by the Adopter to complete the process.
