Hello, I first became interested in saving dogs when I learned about euthanasia practices at the shelters. That was 2012. I started saving dogs then from shelters, bringing them home, getting them medical treatment, and later doing pet adoptions at Petco in Denton for about a year, with another rescue. Now I have a small independent rescue at my home. My husband and I do all the work and fund it all. We are set up for inside and outside areas for the dogs. We started out with the bully breeds but we are not breed specific and currently also have some littles for adoption. I do it because I can't stand to see suffering dogs, and I help whenever I can. So many are thrown away. I do what I can to make their lives better.
Upon first contact, I ask basic questions like how many in your family, fenced yard, other animals, etc. If OK, I meet them and have them fill out an application.
Then they meet the dog, if all is well, I check their references and vet reference. Then I do a home safety inspection. If the dog is adopted, the fee is $125. I keep close tabs on all my adopted dogs.
