Our mission is two-fold: (1) rescue two classes of animals in need of their own redemption, Pit Bull type dogs and the American Mustang, and (2) transform those animals into therapy or service animals for people who have experienced trauma, including first responders and veterans with PTSD/TBI and their families, individuals who have experienced some kind of abuse or traumatizing event, and those recovering from addiction, depression, or loss. Animals rescued into our program may serve simply as emotional support/companions to highly trained PTSD service animals, with the ultimate goal of redeeming both human and animal.
Potential adopters must fill out an application, including references. References are called and a home check is conducted prior to the potential adopter meeting our dogs. Once the application is approved, adopter may meet the dogs to make their adoption selection. Once they make their selection, the adoption is finalized with an adoption contract and payment of the adoption fee (which covers spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations).
