Description

The new Regional Animal Shelter is the first municipal shelter in this region. Stray animals have been boarded at a veterinarian's office up until this time. It will serve 2 counties, King William and King & Queen. Our primary responsibility is to reunite lost pets safely with their owners. We will provide preventive health care while the animals are here; have an adoption program; low-cost spay/neuter assistance; pet care responsibility information; humane education and special events.

Adoption Process

State Law requires spay/neuter for animals adopted from shelters. Application is submitted, if approved, arrangements made for free physical exam and low-cost spay/neuter. Contract signed, fees: Adoption fee-$20.00; Spay/neuter fee-Dogs: $50., Cats: $40.00; Dog License $5.00
