RDR is a small all breed, all volunteer group whose primary mission is to rescue shelter dogs facing death due to time/space issues or treatable medical conditions. Our goal is to end the "euthanasia" of healthy/treatable animals in Rockbridge County. We also want to improve the lives of all dogs in Rockbridge County through assistance programs, such as our spay/neuter assistance program. All of our dogs live in foster homes.

We have an application to complete. We then check vet references and any other needed refs. We then take the dog for a home visit and make sure it's a good match before the adoption is finalized. Adopters sign a contract (we have a lifetime return policy) and adoption fees are $125 - $150, which includes spay/neuter, UTD on shots, and microchipped.
