The purpose and passion of Southern Animal Welfare League is to prevent the suffering, neglect and abuse of companion animals in Chester County, South Carolina. Our focus is on educating the public on the importance of altering their companion animals, offering a low/no cost spay & neuter program for those that need financial assistance. Saving animals abandoned and left in our local kill shelter, providing a safe haven and veterinary care before transporting these wonderful animals to our “no kill" partner groups in the northeast. Providing financial assistance for animals that may have an emergency health crisis while at our underfunded local kill shelter.

We do not do local adoption.
