In 2007, through a generous bequest, the Lange Foundation purchased a 4.5 acre property in Canyon Country in the Santa Clarita Valley. This allowed us a place of our own in which to expand our rescue work to include the forgotten desert shelters.
The animals we rescue come to us in all shapes, colors, sizes, and ages. We value spay and neuter efforts in order to reduce the numbers of homeless animals in California and dedicate ourselves to saving impounded companion animals in order to prepare them for their journey to a new, safe, and loving world. We stand behind those we place.
For dogs we require a pre-approved application as well as home and yard photos to ensure security for your new furry family member. After we have your application and home photos approved, we can schedule a meet and greet date for you and your family. All dogs from us are altered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and given a clean bill of health from our local vet. Adult dogs over the age of 1 year have an adoption fee of $250 while puppies under 1 year have an adoption fee of $350. With the adoption fee we provide toys, food, and medical records free of charge.
For cats we require a pre-approved application before we can set a meet and greet appointment for your family. After your application has been approved, we can schedule a meet and greet date for you and your family. All cats from us are altered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and given a clean bill of health from our local vet. Adult cats over the age of 1 year have an adoption fee of $125 while kittens under the age of 1 year have an adoption fee of $150. With the adoption fee we provide toys, food, and medical records free of charge.

All members of the household must agree to the adoption and be present for the meet and greet process. If you are meeting a dog and you already own other dogs, they must be present for the meet and greet to avoid behavioral issues and potential fights later on. We are able to reject applications without providing the reason.
