We are a hodgepodge group of rescuers with myriad backgrounds and decades of experience in working with other rescues. SSAR was formed when its founders saw a need for more clear and open communication and an adoption process that involved conversations instead of check boxes. We are friendly, communicative and EXTREMELY passionate about excellent matches between families and family friends.

We require adopters to be over 18 and to have a veterinary endorsement via UTD records on current pets. Homes are inspected and landlords are contacted to be certain that the specific dog in question is allowable.

Adoption fees include UTD vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and preventatives.

Fees are $300 for puppies under a year of age and $200 for adult dogs over one year old.

A contract is mandatory.
