I've been involved in rescue for almost 7 years as a way to give back. When I moved I volunteered with a rescue calls Paws to Heart. When they abruptly withdrew from Chester County me and another volunteer took over and started Tails of the Free in April 2016. We became a 501c3 in July 2016 and ga been growing ever since. We mostly adopt out cats and are in 6 Pet Valu's out here.

Application submitted, screened within 48 hours typically including vet check and personal references. Adoption is scheduled and contract signed. Dogs we meet at the adopters house and do a home check and meet and greet as the last step. Cats are adopted out at our PetValu locations. Older kittens (4-6) months are spayed by us, younger kittens (2-4) months are adopted out with a voucher for survival and wellness check at the local SPCA (Brandywine Valley SPCA - Malvern). Dogs are $200. Small dogs and puppies are $300. Cats are $100, kittens are $125.
